Dream.....

Having an enjoyable week and have made a card other than Christmas....
for the Power Poppy Power & Spark November challenge - Portion Control.
I love using parts of stamps so just had to make one... I used a stamped sentiment on a white panel from my stash and luckily enough it had lots of space around it to 'off the page' stamp three sweet pea images from the PP Sweet Memories set.  I used DOX to water colour the images and then trimmed to size and used black card and a fine framing layer.  Then whoopie I found this gorgeous 'matching' DP in my stash - can't believe my luck - do you colour an image and then find you can't match it up with anything?  I do!!  So that lovely panel was all my card needed onto a white card.  To finish I added a few sequins for sparkle.  Thanks for taking a peek

Merry Christmas

Another Christmas card...one can never have too many at this time of year.
I do love poinsettias.. one small bush in my garden, and so I've water coloured this stamped image with DOX and layered it onto dark green card.  Then I've dry embossed my red strip with the flowers too and attached that to the front of my card which I cut a strip from the side so I could add some matching holly DP to the inside of the card.  To finish I stamped my sentiment and attached with foam tape.
I am posting to Watercooler Wednesday - All About Christmas challenge #146, and to Rudolph Days November challenge - Anything Goes.   Thanks for taking a peek

Happy Birthday

 House Mouse & Friends Secret

I'm back as guest designer for my second House Mouse challenge #255 - the theme is Anything Goes or Birthday in December.... I've chosen to make a birthday card and after selecting this stamp, I decided on a little bit of 3D fun ... so stamped the image twice and fussy cut my two little mice at the front.  Then to help me with my colours for painting the image I sussed out some lovely designer paper with these cute cupcakes and a larger one that cut out for the foreground. I coloured the images with Distress Inks and then had fun finding the right pink card to frame my panel.
To finish I added my stamped sentiment banner, a few gems and a sprinkle of micro beads to the big cupcake.
Pop over to the House Mouse Monday challenge and check out the fabulous cards from the other GD and designer team.
I am also posting my card to the Food and/or Drink challenge at Simon Says Wednesday.   Thanks for taking a peek

Let it Snow....

This morning I have finished off my tag for the Muse; Christmas Visions challenge 89 - they are sponsors on Day 15 of Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags and the theme is SNOW....which us pretty weird for us from hit, humid, tropical Northern Australia.
I used a stitched die to cut my tag is purple.  Then stamped my snowflakes with Versamark  and heat embossed in white. Next I used DOX in Faded Jeans and Seedless Preserves and used a wide brush to water wash my panel, and cut it to size for my tag.  I die cut a snowflake in glitter white card and added a gem to the center. Finally I stamped my sentiment and embossed it in white on vellum and used a mini stitched tag die to cut it out....I added a bow and silvery thread to my tag tops.  Thanks for taking a peek

Christmas Wishes

I think I'm just about Christmas themed out....
but I have a tag/card today inspired by Loll (below) on Day 11 of her Twelve Tags of Christmas event...I'm too late to post but have enjoyed making lots of tags.
I am posting this tag to four challenges... Stamplorations Sketch and Theme November challenge - Stamps & Tags.  To Happy Little Stampers Christmas November challenge - Optional Twist -Tags, Happy Little Stampers Watercolour November challenge - Optional Twist -Tags, and lastly Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies November challenge.
First I die cut my tag shape and then used part of a Tim Holtz die to cut my diamond shapes. Next I created a panel using DOX in Antique Linen and Seedless Preserves and lots of water smooched on my plastic work sheet.  When it was dry I spritzed it with Perfect Pearls to give it that lovely sparkly finish.  I stamped my poinsettia flower in Frayed Burlap DOX on this panel and roughly cut out the image. I added a very small touch of DOX to add depth to the flower and leaves and used the rest of the smooched panel as background to my diamond cut outs. To finish I stamped my sentiment and heat embossed it in silver and added a bow - then framed the tag of a pink panel on white card. Thanks for taking a peek

Merry....

This afternoon I have a last minute card for the CAS Watercolour November challenge - Holiday theme.  I created the background panel by smooching Distress Oxides with lots of water and then after it was dry spritzed it with Perfect Pearls to give it a lovely shimmer.  Then I used DOX to stamp the holly image and a second time on scrap... then I fussy cut one section of  holly leaves and added some bright red 'berries' and used foam tape to mount them.  Then I die cut my sentiment twice in red and white to give the red a shadow. To finish I added a green layer and used a cream card. Thanks for taking a peek

To: .... From: .... tag

I got a bit further behind in my tag making, but this morning I've another.... for Day 10 at Twelve Tags of Christmas.  Again I have used a stamped image from my stash and watercoloured it with Distress Inks, then roughly cut it out.  I die cut my tag  from a panel made with Distress Oxides smooched on shiney card stock, then die cut another tag in matching card.  To finish I stamped on my sentiment and attached the tags together with ribbon.  Thanks for taking a peek

Thanks.....

I certainly have a wishlist and Stamplorations are having their 3rd Giving Thanks Blog Hop & Wishlist Linky Party.... so I've made a card using some stamping and masking with a flower from their Bloom Sketch set.  I coloured them with DOX and whoops made a smudge with my finger... so I've added a splattering of colour to conceal it.  To finish I stamped on my sentiment and mounted my panel to a red card.
I am also posting to their Never Ending Anything Goes challenge.  Join in the fun.

Oh, Christmas Tree

My white embossed Christmas tree card is for this weeks Muse challenge #242. I am casing Ardyth's card (below) and although I couldn't make a grey and white card I have used dark navy blue, I like that she trimmed one side of her tree and and then I also used white gems and a few grey ones to decorate my tree.  I copied her layout  and stamped and white embossed my sentiment to the side. To finish I added a die cut star in white glitter card.  I am also posting to Inspired by All the Little Things challenge #72.  Thanks for taking a peek

Merry Christmas

We couldn't have a 'glittery' challenge without a Christmas card....so here I have a very sparkly ornament....have  to agree with others - it's so difficult to get a photo. This month at CAS  Mix Up the theme is 'Glitter'.
I made the background panel by applying glue to a dry embossed white card and apply gold glitter. (to apply the glue I simply spread some glue thinly on my plastic work sheet and gently pressed the panel raised side down onto the glue - no I didn't hand paint the glue to all the raised bits as you can see there are bits I missed).  Then I used VersaMark and gold embossing powder to give the panel and edge.  Next I die cut my ornament from dull gold glitter card and popped the bits out.  To get the dark red I used glitter wrapping ribbon - stuck the strips side by side onto a piece of double sided tape - that's the roll in the pic - and glued the ornament to the red, and trimmed around it. I die cut a matching 'Bow" and attached that to the top of the ornament.
Then I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment in gold and attached them all the to the white card base.
I am also posting to Addicted to CAS #124 - theme BOWS.

Happy Birthday

My last card today is also a Male theme... I inked the clock images of the embossing folder and ran it through the Cuttlebug, then sponged the edges of the panel. I used brown card strips along the edge for the theme at Stamplorations CAS card challenge for November. And added a stamped sentiment in orangey brown.  Then from my pre stamped stash I found this clock - fussy cut it and coloured it with DI and sparkly gel pens.. and a final spray of Perfect Pearls.
I am also posting to Seize the Birthday challenge - Topping Options - Circles ... which I think my clock fit perfectly.  Thanks for taking a peek

Merry Christmas tag

My second tag today is for Day 9 at Twelve Tags for Christmas.
I just loved Loll's AI and gold deer tag but I've just created my own today
Along the same lines as a previous tag - I used this vibrant Brushos smooched and gold embossed off-cut from my stash, which I layered on deep red and dark yellow card to a bright green tag.  I then stamped my stocking, coloured and fussy cut it. And to finish stamped and rough cut my sentiment and tied on some riboon and gold cord.  Thanks for taking a peek
