Lots of hugs

Today I have finished putting together a card using a digital image featuring a strawberry cupcake..yum!! with a to go Coffee Latte - my favourite.  I used the sketch at Power Poppy Creative Confetti, the theme at Stamplorations Theme and Sketch May challenge, and Shopping our Stash #39 challenge - Get Your Drink On.   Printed my image and used watercolour pencils to colour it and added some dimension with crystal drops and silver gel pen.  I found some suitable DP and a contrast card and trimmed to the sketch.  To finish I added a stamped sentiment tag.  I am also posting to Stamplorations Never Ending Anything Goes challenge.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, happy card making.

Popping in to say Hello

Enjoying so time to catch up with challenges this weekend and today I have another card for the CAS Watercolour April challenge - Poppies.... I love them and I love to watercolour.
First I stamped my image in Antique Linen DI so I could watercolour a no outline image but I left both the stamp and image secure in the Misti. After the watercolouring was completely dry I re-inked the stamp in Brushed Corduroy and overstamped the image - it's a lovely fine line stamp so the fine outline reappeared.  I added some depth with coloured pencils and a 'soft yellow' glow around one side of the flowers.  To finish I used a deep yellow card and a grey blue layer, then popped my sentiment up with foam tape.  I am also playing along with Simon Says Monday challenge - Beautiful Blooms and Stamplorations Theme & Sketch April challenge - Stamps and Watercolours.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - have a lovely weekend.

Merry Christmas

Oh boy, it's a stinker here today - very hot, bright blue sky and very sunny after a week of cooler, grey skies and some rain.  Good excuse to be playing at my desk..
So I have a Christmas card this afternoon... using to poinsettia flowers I had watercoloured weeks ago with Distress Oxide inks...fussy cut them and the masked off  the front left side of a white card and sponged the same colours with a stencil for my border.  To finish I stamped the banner and then the sentiment and fussy cut this and used foam tape to attached these elements.

I am playing along with STAMPlorations Theme and Sketch for March using the sketch for my layout. And also posting to Rudolph Days March challenge.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it  - happy stamping

Keep Calm and put the Kettle on

Today I am using a free digi stamp kindly shared by Shery at Stamplorations - thank you Shery.
I printed the image and used Distress Oxides inks to water colour it - I think it came out really nicely and is so nice for any occasion..... I made this one for sharing a cuppa with a friend.
The Stamplorations March Theme & Sketch challenge - the theme is coffee/tea and lucky I stamped my sentiment and used a double stitched circle die to cut it out.

I will also add my card to the Stamplorations Never Ending challenge - Anything Goes.

Let it Snow Tag

A little snowy winter scene for my tag today.  I used post-it notes trimmed to snow hills as a mask for my background, I then smooched the top of the card in a puddle of Brushos, and used a stitched die to cut my tag. Then I coloured in a bit more of the hill and with the mask in place stamped my tree tops, and stamped on my little Scottie dog and my sentiment. To finish I added some snow using Nuvo Crystal Drops and a red ribbon.
I am playing along with Stamplorations Theme and Sketch January challenge - Stamps and Animals, and TAGplorations January challenge - All About Winter.
Thanks for visiting,  I really appreciate it - happy stamping

Best Wishes for a Great Birthday

Hi and Happy New Year - hope there are many happy hours of card making for you over 2019.
Living in Australia and with the time delay I found this afternoon I still had a couple of hours to put together a quick card for the December Stamplorations Theme and Sketch challenge - stamping and using Big Words.  I found this 'experiment' in my stash - a blue paint brushed wash background with a stamped and white embossed flower in one corner... then watercoloured with Distress Inks.  I stamped my large sentiment in black and drew a black frame around the panel to help center on the sentiment.  I appreciate you visit and happy stamping.

Happy Birthday

I have a Birthday card today for a special friend and I'm playing along with three challenges...
Stamplorations November Theme and Sketch, Power Poppy Creative Confetti - Just Color, and The Flower Challenge #26 - A Special Occasion.
I stamped my Protea image with grey ink and coloured it with Pencils then trimmed the image panel. Then I die cut a open stitched frame and stamped my sentiment and embossed with silver EP.  I assembled the card elements over a strip of dark red glitter gift wrap ribbon and used foam tape on the sentiment.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.

Happy Birthday to You

Autumn colours are all the rage at present and I have a card today for the Addicted to Stamps challenge 167 and Stamplorations Theme and Sketch October challenge .... using some yellows, orange and browns on my card.  I stamped my image with brown ink and coloured the image with pencils, then I die cut around it with a stitch circle die. I layered the image onto three shades using a grey blue to bring out the shading behind the flowers... I also dry embossed the orange tan layer and to finish stamped my sentiment on a strip and assembled the card using foam tape.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

Happy Birthday

Sometimes you start out making a card with an idea in mind and then by the end of it all, it turns out so different... and that's how this card evolved.   Wasn't planning of doing any fussy cutting when I stamped my image and used Distress Oxides to water colour it.  I die cut the white panel with my painted image and it looked plain as... so I picked purple from the small flowers to add my dry embossed background and the light purple panel from an experiment I did with swiped glue and ink.  Then to finish I settled on this stamped sentiment of red, that I found in my stash - too big so I placed it sideways and that was just right - I think.  I am playing along with Watercooler Wednesday challenge WWC18- Marsha's Feminine "Anything Goes" challenge, Simon Says Monday challenge - Stamp It On ( with their Stamptember Stamping Party), Also Stamplorations - Theme and Sketch challenge - Summer Vacation - Stamps and Anything Goes, and because I've used a Stamploration stamp I am joining in their Never Ending Anything Goes challenge.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.
