Happy Birthday

Three aspects from different challenges inspired this card today..
Addicted to Stamps challenge #171 - Anything but a Square card... I haven't made a round easel card for ages so I used some elements from my stash - die cut lacy circle, die cut orange/red/yellow watercolour background, four stamped flowers which were created by scribbling watercolour pencils directly onto a very slightly misted stamp before stamping and fussy cutting.
Next the Birthday theme at Just Us Girls Word Week #477, for my sentiment.
And then the colour theme from the dahlia flowers on the Inspirational photo at Just Add Ink #446 challenge.
And lastly I'm joining in the Pixie Snippets Playground challenge #347 - using elements from your stash.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy card making

Happy Birthday to You

Autumn colours are all the rage at present and I have a card today for the Addicted to Stamps challenge 167 and Stamplorations Theme and Sketch October challenge .... using some yellows, orange and browns on my card.  I stamped my image with brown ink and coloured the image with pencils, then I die cut around it with a stitch circle die. I layered the image onto three shades using a grey blue to bring out the shading behind the flowers... I also dry embossed the orange tan layer and to finish stamped my sentiment on a strip and assembled the card using foam tape.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

Joy

This week I added this new wreath stamp to my Christmas collection.. so I've had a play with it making a couple of card.  Used Distress Inks to ink the stamp and very light water mist before stamping onto white card.  I added some red marker berries and then after adhering the glittery red die cut sentiment I decided to add a few more glittery berries.  To finish I framed the panel in green onto a red square card.  I am playing along with Rudolph Days challenge - Anything Goes and Addicted to Stamps challenge - Christmas Comes Early.

Have a tree-mendous Christmas

While looking through my stash of Christmas elements I found this Christmas tree... die cut from a watercoloured piece ... smooched Distress Ink in greens and yellow and then I'd stamped over this a flourish and gold embossed it. For the background panel I used a snowflake embossing folder and then flicked yellow metallic Twinkling H2Os over it for some extra sparkle.  I inked my sentiment with  a Kaleidacolor pad in yellows and greens and roughly cut around it. To finish I added my elements to a green card and topped my tree with a shiny gold die cut star.  I am playing along with CAS Watercolour September challenge - Tree and also at Happy Little Stampers Christmas challenge - Optional Twist - Tree and Addicted to Stamps challenge #166 - Christmas Comes Early.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.

Best Wishes

Being me, I always like to tackle to optional themes on challenges, so this week at House Mouse and Friends challenge #HMFMC250 the theme is School Days.... well no stamps in my stash directly related to this theme, but I found this cute one of Muzzy signing a card... would be just fine.  I stamped the background alphabets with a set by leaving them all in place on the plastic sheet and inking it in a few ink shades. Stamped, coloured and fine cut out my image and hand wrote in the message... So I could use the card I stamped a sentiment (best wishes) and layered it on a label tag and used paper clips to hold it in place.  After I layered the background on two shades of card I smooched the edges and decided to used a band across the card on which the mouse image could sit. I am also going to post to Addicted to Stamps challenge #153 - Stamp a Background and to  The Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring challenge. Thanks for taking a peek

Wishing You Joy

A Christmas card for a change this time.... this one is for Merry Monday challenge #255 - Joy.  I stamped this Christmas tree image in navy on white card so the snow looks quite good - to add a lift I coloured the baubles with Twinkling H2Os and also added some green under the snow for the branches. Used a dark red back panel to bring out the colours and also to display my die cut 'JOY'.  I attached to a white card and added a stamped sentiment and mini snowflake. I am also posting to Holly and Ivy Christmas challenge #14 - Anything Goes and Addicted to stamps Challenge - Christmas.  Thanks for taking a peek

Happy Birthday

I've made this card for my friends birthday, she suggested we try Zentangles last week....so over the week I played with a couple of designs from You-tube and have made this card for her. I had fun and will probably dabble again. I'm posting my card to Seize the Birthday (without the pennants or banners topping), and also for Addicted to Stamps #114  - a CAS card.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn
