Keep in Touch ATC

I sponged blue and green Distress Ink on white card and used pearl white acrylic paint to create a faux mother of pearl effect, the stamped some swirl corners with grey ink.  I used a letter set to stamp the sentiment, used green card as a backing layer and lastly added a collectables old fashioned telephone mounted with foam tape.  I am playing along with Shopping Our Stash #392 - Make an ATC.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it.... happy stamping

To a Wonderful Friend

I do enjoy some relaxing time colouring images, and this one I did yesterday afternoon when all was quiet.  I stamped the poppies in Dried Marigold DO ink and left the stamp and stamped panel in place in my Misti.  Next I watercoloured the poppies with DO and when dry inked up the leaves on the stamp with green marker and stamped over the image - gives a great outline... then I did the same for the flowers but used DO and it looked great to start but as it dried, it lost the defined outline, so next time I'll use DInk... unfortunately I took it out of the Misti before it dried.  Then I trimmed the panel and layered it with green card and stamped the sentiment and die cut it with a label die and sponged the edges.  Finished off using a bright orange card and attaching the elements.  I am playing along with AAA Cards challenge #136 - One Image and the option Spring.  Also playing along at Watercooler Wednesday WWC214 - Marsha's "All About Occasions" challenge ... I think this sentiment could be used for a number of different occasions...birthday, get well, thanks.

Merry Christmas

Oh boy, it's a stinker here today - very hot, bright blue sky and very sunny after a week of cooler, grey skies and some rain.  Good excuse to be playing at my desk..
So I have a Christmas card this afternoon... using to poinsettia flowers I had watercoloured weeks ago with Distress Oxide inks...fussy cut them and the masked off  the front left side of a white card and sponged the same colours with a stencil for my border.  To finish I stamped the banner and then the sentiment and fussy cut this and used foam tape to attached these elements.

I am playing along with STAMPlorations Theme and Sketch for March using the sketch for my layout. And also posting to Rudolph Days March challenge.

Best Wishes......

I do love Fuchsias - gorgeous combination of colours that look like bells to me... so of course I love to stamp this one I have in my stash..  This one is actually a snippet that has been waiting a few weeks after I experimented by using watercolour pencils directly onto the wet shadow stamp and then stamping onto white card.... I love how it turned out - I added to bright stamen tips and a little colour to the petals... then die cut it with a stitched rectangle die.  Next I stamped my sentiment on white card and sponged seedless grapes DO around the edge, then cut a circle in my front panel, run a pencil around the inner cut edge, then matched up the flower panel, drew the circle onto it and hand cut the section and around the leaves.  To finish I layered and attached all the elements in place and added a couple of Nuvo drops.  I am playing along with Penny Black Saturday challenge - PBSC March, Anything Goes - option Clean and Simple, also with Penny Black and More ... Monthly challenge March - Going Round in Circles.... the PB stamps I used are Chandelier, and ....every day.
I am also playing at Pixie's Snippets Playground #348.

Happy Birthday

It's been a while since I used DP on my cards, so today I have this lovely mauve gingham to use as a backdrop for my image and sentiment.  I stamped the flower and used pencils to colour it, then wide fussy cut it out.  I die cut my happy birthday in white and pinks/purple card and layered them.  Finally to finish I die cut a stitched frame and arranged the elements, using foam tape on the flower.  I am playing along with Double "D" challenge - Gingham.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy stamping

Christmas

I'm happy to have found another Christmas card challenge blog to help me all through the year with making cards for my stash... new challenge is Christmas Kickstart Challenge # - Moves on Hooves - what a fun topic..  I have used a die cut 'deer' on my card with a snowy background - used a mask to create the snow slopes while I sponged in the sky and then with mask in place stamped on some tree tops so you would know it was a snowy hill.  Sponged some colour onto the deer with DOX and bit of colour with a red ribbon around his neck.. finished off with a die cut sentiment.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy card making

Have a Great Day Tag

Following along from my last few posts, I have another tag to share.  This one bearing Polka Dots for the TAG you're IT! challenge #83.  So earlier this week I was experimenting again with stencils as backgrounds (mixed Distress Ink with PVA glue, applied over a stencil with palette knife and quickly lifted the stencil and washed it) and found the perfect one for this tag... I used a stitched tag die to cut the shape and then stamped, watecoloured with DOX and fussy cut my Azalea in a bowl.  To finish I stamped a sentiment and attached it sideways on my tag with foam tape, also foam taped my image in place and added some spotty ribbon ties.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy tag making

Spring Wishes Tag

This afternoon I have at last finished my tag... the elements have been waiting for me to decide how to arrange them and what to do with the 'white spring' die cut... so I decided to partial colour it as I think the bright pink background is loud enough.  The tag was cut from a scrap made with blending Distress Oxide inks and misting with Perfect Pearls.  To finish I added a die cut sentiment and stamped 'wishes' on white card, then tied on some matching thread.  I am posting to Stamplorations TAGplorations March challenge - All About Spring and also to Stamplorations Never Ending Anything Goes challenge - 'spring' is part of Sweet Spring Wishes die from CUTplorations range.
Also linking to Shery's SPRING FLING event.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy TAG making.

I Love You ATC

Playing along today with Happy Little Stampers March ATC Challenge...Hearts, and Simon Says Monday challenge - Miniature/Tiny Things.
ATCs for me a mini artworks and lucky for me I had some leftover background made with sprinkling Magical Micas over a stencil and lightly spritzing with water.. there is a real glitter sheen to it, the camera didn't capture.  Then I used a love script stamp to add some layers and an Eiffel Tower and Paris word. I sponged the edges and  stamped the sentiment  on a small scrap - using markers to colour the stamp.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy stamping.

Merry Little Christmas Tag

Another tag evolved from my stash, this tree just wanting to be fussy cut and silver gel pen adding dots before attaching to the star embossed panel from my stash.  Die cut a tag, stamped my sentiment to the panel and tied on some ribbon.  Then I decided to make it into a card, and found this background in my stash - just the right colour.  I am posting again to Happy Little Stampers March Christmas challenge - option Tags.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy stamping

Christmas Tags

A bit of fun today with mini artworks on tags.... ALL of the elements for both tags came from my stash (except for the mini stamped Christmas).  Added a strip of silver glitter paper to this side of one tag and added my sentiment, a santa hat and ribbons... for the second tag trimmed up the blue background 'experiment', attached a die cut 'Merry' and stamped sentiment, finished off with ribbon ties.  I am playing along with Happy Little Stampers March Christmas challenge - optional Tags.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, happy stamping
