Happy Birthday

Today I have chosen three colours from the Colour Palette at AAA Birthday #6  challenge --- Yellow, Green and Black.  I stamped the image in black ink and used pencils to watercolour the floral image... to finish I silver embossed my stamped sentiment.  I used a die cut frame over the image and layered onto green ribbed card.

Festive Wishes

End of the month and time to join in the Rudolph Days challenge for October with a Christmas card using watercolours (Distress Inks)  on a grey ink stamped poinsettia image.... I really love these flowers so bright and cheerful at Christmas time.  To finish I die cut a frame in white card and attached the silver embossed sentiment with foam tape.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it... happy card making

Happy Birthday

We have visitors this week but I have time to post a couple of cards this afternoon..... here a Birthday card using a stencil to create the lattice background..... I inked Versamark over the back of the stencil, brayered it in place on white card then heat embossed with white embossing powder... then sponged Distress Oxides in antique linen, iced spruce and victorian velvet and lightly polished the ink from the white embossing.  I used a matching dusty pink card and attached the panel  with a fine white edge and then die cut the sentiment twice and layered them to the front.  I  am playing along with Watercooler Wednesday WWC244 - Helen's "All About Occasions" challenge ...  AND ... Stamplorations The Stencil October challenge - Always Anything Goes.

Winter Scene

It's kind of weird making Christmas cards with wintery snow scenes for people like me who live in a tropical climate.... but we do and here I have finished a card that has been waiting in pieces for some time... of course when I got this freebie snowflake die I had to die cut it to see how it looked and then from my stash this sky background - smooched Distress Inks - and there they sat... then recently visiting my friend for a stamping sessions I die cut some cute deer for her stash.... and they came in handy with a light sponge of brown DI, to complete my winter scene...I added some torn card for a snow drift at the bottom.
I am playing along with Christmas Kickstart challenge #21 - Woodland Creatures  .... AND ... also with The Holly and Ivy Christmas challenge #58 - Anything Goes Christmas.

Take time to smell the flowers ATCs

Next using my stencils I made a set of 3 ATCs....
First I sponged the stencils flowers with Distress Inks, then when they were dry I replaced the stencil and ran the ATCs through the Cuttlebug to dry emboss over the top - you can vaguely see that in the  bottom photo.  I sponged the edges of the ATCs, then stamped my sentiment and cut it up to spread across the three ATCs.
I am playing along with Happy Little Stampers ATC October challenge - set of three ATCs ...  AND .. also with STAMPlorations The Stencil October challenge - Always Anything Goes.... AND STAMPlorations Never Ending Challenge - Anything Goes.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it..... hope you're enjoying your weekend.

Happy Everything

This week I have been playing around a lot with my stencils.... so first off I have this one corner stenciled panel - using a very old stencil; one of those from the cheap shop that stick down onto your card - made it easy then for me to mask off sections so I would only get ink on the flower or dragonfly.  I used Distress Inks and sponged over the stencil, I added some silvery gel pen to the dragonfly and mounted the panel on orange card.  To finish I stamped the sentiment in blue, and clear embossed it and attached with some foam tape.
I am playing along with AAA Cards CAS Game #151 - One Corner  and I used Yellow and Oranges from the colour palette option...   AND ...   also with STAMPlorations The Stencil October challenge - Always Anything Goes.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, happy card making

Birthday Wishes

It's time for a reminder
you have until the 24th to play along,
so dig into your patterned paper stash and stencils
and come join in...

For this card I decided to use texture paste with my stencil on a light mauve/grey fine patterned paper.  I chose to colour the paste with Distress Oxides and then framed my panel with a darker grey edge.  To finish I used a matt silver card and a combination of stamped and die cut sentiment....die cut two layers of  'wishes' in purple and white and offset them a fraction.

The ladies on the design team have lots of other ideas along with our guest designer Gundi, so pop over to the CAS Stencil blog and check them out...
I am also playing along with a new challenge -  STAMPlorations The Stencil October Challenge.... Always Anything Goes   ....  AND Stamplorations Never Ending Challenge - Anything Goes.

Season's Greetings

A little snowy winter scene for my card this afternoon..... for the CAS Christmas October challenge.
I masked off the bottom on a front panel and used Distress Inks in stormy sky, salty ocean and dusty concorde... to watercolour the sky.... before it was dry I used chipped sapphire DI on the stamp and spritzed with water before stamping the trees... then flicked some white paint for a snowy sky and lastly stamped the sentiment in chipped sapphire.
I am also sharing with Yes, Virginia - October Show & Share
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy stamping
