With Love....Just for You

My card this evening is for the Scrapbook Boutique month challenge - don't you just love these sweet cupcakes as inspiration. Finding this gorgeous background designer paper helped me so much - the soft colours with splash of bright pink helped me layer up a flower and softly colour the little bird.  I used Inspired by Stamping stamps to add the 'with love' sentiment in to top corner and 'just for you' in the bottom. The folded card leaves space for your own words on the inside. I'm entering it in the Inspired by Stamping Blog Hop 'Flowers' challenge and House of Cards - colour inspirational photo as a Classic card, too.

  Top 5

Purr, Purr, Purr

Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur, happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr, purr, purr.
(Sheldon's lullaby from Big Bang Theory)  LOL
At Our Beautiful World this week 35 the theme is "Soft"

This is "Ging"(er) one of three kittens my sons cat had 8 weeks ago and of course they are soft. I couldn't resist taking the following shots of him taking a nap in the coffee box...mum wasn't too pleased and tried to move him.  There he is with bro "Grey" later on....sadly they are looking for new homes this weekend.

Season's Greetings

I was on a roll today and made this second aqua, white and silver Christmas card for the Merry Monday #97 - Sparkle and Shine challenge.
I stamped this large icicle background stamp with distress ink, and a large bow and sentiment label....quick and easy. Thanks for taking a peek  and hope you're having a wonderful week Robyn

Season's Greetings tree

It's nice to make non traditional colour Christmas cards...I already had this embossed tree in my stash so it was easy to add a few aqua gems for the challenge at Merry Monday#97  - Sparkle and Shine, with aqua, white and silver.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Have a Great Day

I do like Clean and Simple and sometimes to get ones mojo going it's great to tackle a quick card. I've made this card today for the CAS-ology Week 84 challenge - Paint. I  just taped off a section of watercolour card and sponged on two distress inks and then stamped the silhouette branch and sentiment - I like how it turned out..  Below I've included a couple of pics on a hint I saw ages ago but use it all the time to adhere my layers straight.  Just pull a small amount of backing tape from the double sided tape on opposite corners and use the other corners to align the layer - I hate it when they mount crocked.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Joy to the World

D for Die Cuts.

Again I'm adding to my Christmas card stash with this one for the ABC Christmas Challenge and this month the is the letter D  for Die Cuts. I have this long Sizzix Christmas Bells die that doesn't get used very often so I saw my chance and added them to a lovely piece of designer paper and then framed that on a lacey die cut. What's On Your Workdesk, Wednesday? #247

Hi and welcome to my WOYWW#247 desk this beautiful day... well really I'm not working at my usual desk making cards, I'm at the dining room table with my sewing machine and I've just finished making a carry-all bag for my grand-daughter Sophie who will soon be attending day care as mum has to go back to work.  I found this fabulous white and grey little people fabric and decided to line the bag with a bright colour :-) pink of course for a girl. It has two pockets on the outside ends and more pockets inside plus a key clip and magnet closing tab (cut the magnet from an old handbag of mine and yes it was really easy to fit).  Now if you're wondering why I'm waffling on about my crafty day please pop over to Julias blog and you'll find heaps of other crafty people sharing their desks too. I'm glad my sewing day has been successful so now I'll make a coffee and take some time to go check out some desks. Cheers and thanks for taking a peek Robyn

I've been playing around with onion skins to dye watercolour card - wet the skins and card and sandwich them for a half hour....I remember doing this years ago.

Love....many things

DSC08729
At last  my tag for this month - February  Tim Holtz 12 Tags 2014.  My sentiment card is actually just white embossing powder because I tried the chalk board thing but just couldn't make it work as I don't have the right supplies. I cut my own heart stencil on some old overheard projector transparent sheets which I now have for keeps. I also don't have too many metal elements so I created my own arrow and edge with silver ink and clear emb powder.  Still I had a go and am happy with the finished tag...something out of the box for me.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Peace, Hope, Love

Rudolph the *RED* Nosed Reindeer

I just might be making a few more of these easy Christmas cards...with the theme being "RED" at Jingle Belles this week I just swiped the inside of my embossing folder with red distress ink and ran it through the Cuttlebug and mounting a simple stamped dove on a die cut to dress it up.  Thanks for taking a peek  Robyn

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

I haven't made a childs birthday card for a long time but I found this cute little train and carriages in my prestamped drawer and thought the three images suitted the layout for CAS(E) this Sketch #65 and at Seize the Birthday I'll post it as "Anything Goes".  I had fun painting the train with my twinkling H2Os and created the sentiment smoke clouds with my embossing pens.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Gone fishin'

Oh boy ... another male, that's a bit scary from me... and I've combine three challenges again.  The layout from Crazy 4 Challenges C4C233 and the colour palette from Color Throwdown ctd280 and then the theme "Jump" for CAS-ology.  I did have my fish and sentiment already stamped in my collected of prestamped images - just a quick paint job with my aquabrush and distress ink pads...they come in handy now and again.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Dream Big....Time Flies

Card Sketch 81  IBSIC-#78
A masculine card from me this afternoon using the layout at Paper Craft Crew Sketch #81, the colours for Inspired by Stamping IBSIC #78 - White, Tan and Blue and for the Inkspirational challenge its Tic Tac Toe and I've chosen horizontally through the middle -m distressing, ribbon or lace and buttons or brads (my ribblon is embroidery thread), I've distressed all my edges and tiny blue buttons finish it off.  Thanks for taking a peek, hope you're having a wonderful weekend, Cheers Robyn

Just because...

IBSIC-#762-20Sketch192Hi there this bright rather warm Saturday where I'm at my desk again skyping with my friend Vikki.  Today I've made a card using the layout at Pals Paper Arts PPA192 and the colours for the Inspired by Stamping #76 challenge.  I scrounged deep in the paper drawers to find this piece of gold background, stamped a couple of rose buds on the bottom corner and layered a few die cut labels to carry the sentiment and topped it off with three deep purple flowers with bling centers.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Our Beautiful World

I love fresh morning and beautiful sunsets....so my photo for this weeks Our Beautiful World Week 34 - Celebration theme  is a photo I took of a sunset at my sisters home in Gympie, Queensland. For me it represents the celebration of another wonderful day and nature displaying all her colours. I'm adding another photo taken on our December holiday in Tasmania of a sunset with all it's glorious colours. Thanks for taking peek, Robyn

WHW Tutorial #129–Creating A Frame With Dies

IBSIC-#77 This afternoon I've made this soft pale blue card for the WHW#129 technique at Inspired by Stamping and I've also used the inspirational colour  photo for the IBSIC#77 challenge.  I would've normally made the die cut frame in reverse; simply cutting two labels and layering them, here they are cut into the top designer paper and carefully positioned to cut the second smaller one. I'm really happy with the finished card with a die sentiment tag and handmade flowers. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn
