Scrapbook Boutique challenge, Less is More, Our Creative Corner

Morning everyone, hump day, Wednesday today and I enjoy cruising my favourite challenge blog sites to see how my weekend is going to evolve with the creative challenges and participants out there.
I do like trying to combine a couple at once - so here today I have used the Scrapbook Boutique February challenge (photo above) for inspiration on colour and content and then the Our Creative Corner girls challenge - Over the Edge ; had me simply turning my square into a diamond and so off the card front and finally to play along with the Less is More Week 56 challenge Don't Scrap It - to use your scraps....here I am always playing along - I'm terrible - save every thing, you'd be surprised what stamping mistakes are on the back and even my card base is an abandoned card with a smudge on the wording so here I placed a pearl discretely on to disguise my oops... :)  I created the checked card using the inked edge of a piece of foam and first time use also of my Cuttlebug Take the Cake - die and embossing set.  Thanks for taking a peek..

The Play Date Cafe colour challenge 120

I've made this card especially for my mother-in-laws birthday next month (trying to get ahead with my cards). I truly love the colours for this weeks Play Date Cafe challenge #120. I'm also having fun making my own flowers to suit the colours of the various challenges.  A card of Andrea Ewens of Ewen Style - has also inspired me -  her feminine cards are beautiful.  Thanks for taking a peek.

The Sweet Stop challenge SSS146

Ok...now this card came together very nicely and quickly -a birthday card for an overseas rele. Vikki this morning was making her card for The Sweet Stop challenge - SSS146 - with a spin: using dies or punches, so as I really liked the sketch I joined in too. ...I used three dies and my Stampin up Bird punch and my new Artistic Outpost stamp. Thanks for taking a peek.

House Mouse challenge HMFMC 113

Hi there, this fine Saturday morning....again I am at my desk with friend Vikki (skyping across the country from east to west some 3500kms). I had this card half made over the past week and so hope it encourages my mojo today. This Christmas card is one is for the House Mouse challenge HMFMC113  with a theme of 'Make Wishes come True'.  Thanks for taking a peek

Less is More challenge: week 55, Play Date Cafe 119, Our Creative Corner challenge

Happy TGIF everyone.  At my desk today I was determined to have a card finished to post for the Less in More -week 55 challenge to use punches or dies and to assist I have used  the theme for the Our Creative Corner challenge - black and white and a splash of any colour    - which is also last weeks Play Date Cafe PDCC119 colour challenge using black and white and a splash of colour - hot pink but I decided to use red.
I love making this die cut layered flowers - here I used the Die-namics Uspsey Daisies die and for the stamen the Nellie Snellen punch. And lately inking my embossing folders has come up with some interesting results-here I used black ink on my Cuttlebug Bloom Dots folder.  Thanks for taking a peek

CR84FN Colour Challenge, Deconstructed Sketch,

Deconstructed Sketch 39
I sooo missed skyping with my friend Vikki yesterday....lucky lady got to go see Rod Stewart in concert in Melbourne. I did start to put this card yesterday for the Deconstructed Sketch #39 also used the colours from CR84FN colour challenge 48 - grey, lavender and chartreuse. As it was a Christmas card I had trouble adding some shapes and bling but I'm now really happy the result. Thanks for taking a peek.
PS...I made the bling myself using white brads and gluing gems and micro beads to he tops

Less is More challenge, Random Acts of Creativity

Hi there this warm Saturday morning is WA. I've made this card for the Less is More challenge week 54 which is to make a One Layer card with Stripes and also using the sketch from The Random Acts of Creativity. One layer cards may look simply but they are not especially when you like adding layers, so a few gems here have added some depth for me. Thanks for taking a peek.

Colour throw down, MojoMonday

 CTD179
Having a lovely time this morning, but now I must rush and get ready for work - work afternoons so lucky me to have my mornings at my desk.  I've made another Christmas card using the Colourthrow challenge #CTD179 colours for inspiration and again the MojoMonday sketch #228. This was lots of creativity from me with the colours being nothing I would have every consider but I am happy with my card.
Thanks for taking a peek.

Mojo 228

Deconstructed Sketch, Play Date Cafe challenges

 Deconstructed Sketch 38
I'm back again today.....I've had heaps of fun today and just said 'see ya' to Vikki. She encouraged me to make a male card using the colours from The Play Date Cafe challenge PDCCC118  so I used the Deconstructed Sketch #DS38 for this my last card of the day. I really like how the circle  makes the image pop out and look like it's magnified. Thanks for taking a peek...

MojoMonday

Hi there again...I'm on a roll, I have my friend Vikki on Skype keeping me company again this Saturday arvo. I've made this card for the MojoMonday challenge #227 and to add to my pile of Christmas cards. Thanks for taking a peek....
I sure am on a roll...here's another Christmas card using the Mojo sketch

Less is More challenge

Hello fellow card makers.....my next card today is for the Less is More challenge - to use the colour Aqua as the feature of our card.....which I've just discovered is closed so I'm a little late.....
Anyway on this card I've used some layering....seen other creative ladies using this technique and thought to have a go myself.....so I've layer the flower cut with the Die-namics Upsey Daisies die and also used the Spellbinders Edgeabilities Classic Petal die to create the border effect. Thanks for taking a peek.

The Sweet Stop challenge, Lily Pad Card Exchange

I have another card completed today for theThe Sweet Stop challenge SSS144 and the Lily Pad Card Chain February challenge. I love the soft colours - Blush, Fawn and Chestnut and I must be into butterflies at present as they are featuring a couple of recent cards. The large butterfly I created by inking the flat surface of my Stampin Up Beautiful Wings Embosslit with dark brown ink on pink card..I really like the effect. Thanks for taking a peek.

Birthday card

I was recently asked by a workmate to make two birthday cards for her 80 year old friend... so here are my cards. I am pretty pleased with how they both turned out. Thanks for taking a peek.
