Hark the Herald Angels Sing

A Christmas card today for Jingle Belles challenge - Embossing around the Christmas tree.... The angel is embossing in white on the navy card and the overstamped with the sentiment in gold embossing powder. I layered the panel onto sparkly golden yellow paper and added some glitter glue to the stars, also some silver gel pen to the trumpet.  I am also posting to September Rudolph Days challenge - Anything Goes.  Thanks for taking a peek

Embossing Around the Christmas Tree

September Rudolph Days Challenge

Best Wishes

So here is my pencil colouring on black card... assembled card.  It was quite tricky to put together a colour scheme to display all the black of the image panel... so I went with bright colours that highlighted the colours of the flowers. Colouring on the embossed gold with all the fine line detail wasn't as easy as just an open outline image.  To finish I stamped and gold embossed my sentiment.
I am posting my finished card to The Daily Marker 30 day Coloring challenge, also Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Anything Goes and finally to Stamplorations Theme and Sketch challenge - which is on Summer Vacation but the team would still like to see 'what we have been up to' - I am impressed with pencils on black so will be trying this out again.  Thanks for taking a peek

Simon Says: Anything Goes

Best Wishes

Being me, I always like to tackle to optional themes on challenges, so this week at House Mouse and Friends challenge #HMFMC250 the theme is School Days.... well no stamps in my stash directly related to this theme, but I found this cute one of Muzzy signing a card... would be just fine.  I stamped the background alphabets with a set by leaving them all in place on the plastic sheet and inking it in a few ink shades. Stamped, coloured and fine cut out my image and hand wrote in the message... So I could use the card I stamped a sentiment (best wishes) and layered it on a label tag and used paper clips to hold it in place.  After I layered the background on two shades of card I smooched the edges and decided to used a band across the card on which the mouse image could sit. I am also going to post to Addicted to Stamps challenge #153 - Stamp a Background and to  The Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring challenge. Thanks for taking a peek

Thinking of You

A card today for the Muse Challenge #234, casing Kim's lovely card below and using a new stamp set (a freebie with a magazine) - for my entry to Darnell's  #12 NBUS challenge.  I really love the colour combination and layout of her card and have also used flowers and birds as my stamped image.  I coloured them with Distress Inks and to finish stamped on my sentiment and added a few sequins.  I thought the card looked a bit flat so added an embossed line around the edge and layered onto blue card.

Thanks a Lot

Pleased to see Tag, You're It back with challenge #73 -  casing Tracey's tag (below) -  I really love the colours she has used and the white mandala is a striking contrast... so I white embossed a stamp off the top corner and used a waterwash in crimson and purple on my tag. To finish I added a stamped sentiment and silver thread.  Apologies for the dull photo, the colours are much nice in real life. Thanks for taking a peek

Peace to the World

I  have definitely had fun this month with CAS Mix Up - Watercolour Wash and CAS Watercolour - Silhouette.  I also used the theme at Muse: Christmas Visions 85 with Stephanie's card (below) as inspiration for my card... Peace.  I created this watercolour wash background with Brushos and lots of water.. love the soft colours.... then I decided to hit it with my Perfect Pearls Mist to add some shimmer.  I used a die cut word - Peace and finished off with a stamped sentiment.. To complete the card I added a white silhoutte die cut bird (dove) and sprig (olive branch).  I am also posting to Simon Says Monday challenge - Shimmer and Shine.  Thanks for taking a peek

Christmas Wishes

Last card for the day for Merry Monday #257 challenge - Add a decorated card to your card using texture, bling and die cuts.... Also for the Christmas Card Throwdown colour challenge - Pink, Red and Green.
For texture I embossed the back panel and smooched it with white ink to highlight the raised areas. I die cut my stitched tag and overstamped it with script stamp. Then Stamped my stocking twice.. on green card for the stocking and on white card for the top - used Brushos to colour my images and fussy cut. To finish I added some threads for the tie, a few pink gems and a stamped sentiment.  Thanks for taking a peek

Happy Birthday

I usually stamp my images in black but thought I might try using a colour of Distress Ink with my Gerbera stamp... I used Festive Berries... and then used it to water colour the image. I overstamped the image panel is a script stamp and layered the panel with green and dark pink.  I teamed this with a pretty floral designer paper for the background and to finish added a stamped sentiment.  I used the layout at Try Stamping on Tuesday #340 but turned it upside down. And was inspired by the  pretty Floral Teacup photo at Fusion challenge.  Thanks for taking a peek

Best Wishes to Someone Special

For this card I used the layout at Freshly Made Sketches #306 and the colour palette from Power Poppy - Hues to Use... Pink, Beige, Green.  I stamped and embossed my image with Pearl Gold - it didn't look too crash hot so I over stamped it with brown Distress Ink after I water coloured it with Brushos. Then I overstamped with a script stamp in Antique Linen Distress Ink. I framed the panel with beige card and used pale green and pink strips for the layout and attached these over a base panel of Designer Paper.  To finish I inked the edge of my stamped sentiment.  Thanks for taking a peek.

A Smile happens in a Flash....

With this card I was able to use some pieces from my stash... a lovely textured inked and embossed background and my gold embossed rose image - which I coloured with Distress Ink. I layered my panel on teal green onto a red card and to finish added a gold embossed sentiment.  I am posting to Double 'D' challenge : Sentiments/Quotes also The Flower Challenge #12 - Tic Tac Toe... using the top horizontal line - Embossing, Distress Inks, Sentiment. and finally to Just Add Ink challenge #378 - Add Texture.
