Three cards from me this week....

.... and where is this month going????  So much happening all at once, so I am pleased I sat down at my desk with a couple of challenges in mind.

Firstly the CAS Christmas July challenge... is for Snowmen  --  which for some of us is tricky with only having seen snow twice in my lifetime and never at Christmas.  I created a little snow scene for my stamped snowman and added some falling snow with my white paint pen.

Next a card for Darnell's Weekly IDEAS prompt... week 3 is "E" = EmbossingI brayered ink from a  Kaleidacolor ink pad over an embossed panel and added some die cut leaves and sentiment.

My last card is also a Christmas card being inspired by the colours at Jingle Belles - Unicorn Holiday  Christmas colour palette... to use 3 or more colours - I think I've used all the colours   ....   And also joining again at Christmas Kickstart challenge #112 - Grace Us with your Presents

I went for an easy card - simply cut some patterned papers into present shapes and added a contrasting die cut ribbon bow and finished with a die cut sentiment.

Playing around with Dies

Darnell's Weekly IDEAS prompt - week 2 "D" = Dies/Die Cuts, had me looking for something a bit different... and I found this large Sizzix Thinlet - Folk Art Stencil which I proceeded to die cut from Holographic card - on the pack it says to die cut the design on a card front and use the holographic behind to shine through...  so I just did the exact opposite and then backed it with pink rice paper.

OHH, but then what do you do with all those lovely tiny die cut pieces...  yes silly me decided to glue them all to a card front... well nearly all of them.
The two cards look pretty anyway.

Next I'm trying to keep up with making Christmas cards each post... so here are two easy ones using die cut sentiments from my stash and teaming them with some pretty background papers.
With my first one I'm joining in again over at the Christmas Kickstart challenge #112 - Grace Us with Your Presents

There's also lots of parcels with stripey paper so I'll join the challenge at Jingle Belles - Stars or Stripe Forever.

Christmas, Just a Note and Birthday Wishes

Been a busy week here and even though I had these cards made a few days ago, I'm only finding time today to share them and join in a few challenges.... that keep me inspired.

Darnell's Weekly IDEAS prompt - "I" = Inks/Colour Mediums  - All my cards feature me playing with INK

Christmas Kickstart challenge #112 - Grace Us with Your Presents.... how cool is that play on words

Jingle Belles challenge - Stars or Stripes Forever  ... and I guess that a play on a US event.

For my first card I stamped and watercoloured this cute House Mouse stamp using my watercolour pencils... they haven't seen daylight for a while ... then used silver glitter pen on the ribbons and matched up with silver embossed sentiment.  EDIT... well I messed that up properly... no stars or stripes!

My second card is using the sketch from Just Add Ink challenge #789
Trimmed some pretty papers into strips and added some die cut leafy shapes that I inked up with Distress Oxides, then finished off with a die cut flower from my stash and a gold embossed sentiment

My last card was a bit of fun for the   -  Love those Pretty Papers July challenge
Using a stamped bird image from my stash that I watercoloured with my Twinkling H2O inks and fussy cut it out.  Then attached it to some fun birdie patterned paper and a stamped sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by my blog... have a wonderful weekend

Welcome to a new month.... July already and we're into the second half of 2026

This week I have a couple of stenciled cards to share...

It is also the 5th week of a month as so  Darnell's  Weekly IDEAS prompt has "S" = Stencils

Also over at Just Us Girls challenge #829 it is Anything Goes with Stencils

And another stencil challenge - Stencil Fun June challenge

My first card is once again made up of things from my stash... love this pretty stenciled swirly background -  I can't remember how I made it, but it has a lovely gold sheen... the right colours to show off this floral die cut I hadn't used yet... just finished with a stamped pearl gold embossed sentiment.

And for my Christmas card this week the poinsettias and holly stencil proved a bit tricky to mask, then I finished it with a green card base and die cut sentiment.
