Couple of Christmas cards

Fluffy around in my stash of Christmasy bits I found this die cut ornament that only needed me to cut the leaves and berries to inlay into the shape.  And in the pile was also this embossed sentiment strip I'd cut from a larger an embossed panel... so needed me to put all together.

And for this card I embossed the white panel with a poinsettia design and from my stash found this flower and teamed it with some gold metallic ribbon to add some colour.  The embossing folder set also had matching die cut to overlay the words onto the sentiment

I used Darnell's Weekly IDEAS prompt  - week 3 "E" = Embossing.
And I'm joining the challenges at

And just one more fun card for the Just Add Ink challenge #787 - Choose Two or More - I've chosen Patterned Paper and Animals.

Thanks for stopping by my blog... have a wonderful day, Cheers Robyn

Three cards to share this week

Hi there today... start of a new week and three cards to share with you.

My first is a 'flat' card - stamped directly onto a card and watercoloured with Distress Inks (carefully so it doesn't seep thru to the other side) and then I added some detail with coloured pencils.  --- And joining in the Jingle Bells challenge - Flat Feliz Navidad

And as it's another Bird card - from the 12 days of Christmas set I have and never used till this week - I am joining in with CAS Christmas June challenge - Birds, so glad they're back !!

AND so I'm also joining in the NBUS Challenge #87

My second card is a 'SNOWY' one --  a bit of masking and 'Inking Direct to the Card' to create snow hills ...  stamped on some trees and a little deer - see his gorgeous red bow and added lots of snowflakes with my white paint pen.

And another one over at Double 'D' - Add a Bow

Lastly a Birthday card featuring a Die Cut Butterfly
Quite simple to make - cutting a card front with a couple curves to show off lovely pattern paper positioned underneath - gold embossed the curved edge and the sentiment and finished off with a butterfly die cut from gold card and a few gems

I've had such a good time making card this week and being inspired by all the challenges

Thanks so much for stopping by my clog, have an awesome day

Cheers Robyn

Merry Everything....

WOW, I'm back again today.... can't believe it myself...  but I've had a great day at my desk, and this card just came out of thin air because I was experimenting with the Group of Cardmakers technique this month ...  Direct to Paper Inking.

Do you remember those Kaleidacolor ink pads... mine have been hiding in a cupboard... well they still seem to work.

I've made an 'Ombre' card for the Jingle Bells Ombre Wonderland challenge... just added a large silver embossed sentiment to the ombre panel... so easy.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, hope you have a lovely inky day too
cheers Robyn

Three Christmas Cards

 So happy to see

CAS Christmas challenge is back and running again after 3 years... it's always great to have a prompt to make cards for my Christmas stash.  For their June challenge the theme is Bird.  So I've had a rather lovely day stamping and watercolouring a pair of doves and die cut another ...

Also joining in the June challenge over at Triple B - Birds, Butterflies and Blooms

And the cute Mood Board at Peace on Earth challenge #112 had me looking at my House Mouse stamps and this one was already stamped waiting for me to watercolour - perfect  ...   so now I have 3 more cards for my stash

Thanks for stopping by my blog... have a lovely day, cheers Robyn

Twofer Cards today

Haven't dug into my patterned papers too often of late... but I've put together a card featuring

'polka dots' for the Just Add Ink challenge #786.

Combined two green shades of paper and a strip of polka dot embossed card as a background for my stamped, watercoloured and fussy cut flower... finished off with a stamped sentiment strip.

Then I had a play around with my Distress Oxide ink pads  -  swiping the whole pad across the white card - fossilized amber top to bottom, then crushed olive bottom up, followed by peeled paint ---  I like the 'wispy' effect achieved.  Then I used the same inks to swipe card and die cut some foliage and finished with a stamped and clear embossed sentiment.   Joining in the technique challenge over at Group of Cardmakers - Direct to Paper Inking

Thanks for stopping by my blog, have a wonderful day, Cheers Robyn
