Play Date Cafe, Sweet Sunday Sketch

.....two cards today,whoa...big smile on my face....

It was interesting trying to combine these lovely colours from the Play Date Cafe #155 - Mint, Gold, Leather
I used them with the sketch from Sweet Sunday challenge #170....I'm not sure about the final card...I tried different papers/colours with the vertical strip and decided on the embossed strip which gets a bit lost...
anyway...thanks for taking a peek    Robyn

Freshly Made Sketches

Shabby Tea Room, The Paper Player

Today Vikki and I are sharing our Saturday morning as she's a 'dancing' engagement and evening out with hubby  today - enjoy Vikki and Trev.  I've put together a 'Pretty" card today using the soft colours from the Shabby Tea Room week #137 challenge - a Vintage Charm theme using the colours in the photo and also include a Charm. I also played along with the Paper Players P#118 and their challenge to include a Frame. As I'm working out of our caravan with limited stamping gear ...I didn't have any charms so I've made this pearl button myself....thanks for taking a peek

Mojo Monday, Jay-Gee's Nook

Another card today - so I'm feeling good.  I've used the colours from a new challenge site - Jay Gee's Nook challenge #24 and the layout from Mojo Monday #264...I love these colours and wasn't sure which stamps I'd be using till I realised there were little birds in the colour inspiration. I love also to be able to support local girls with their blog challenges and as Judith at Jay Gee's is in my home town of Townsville, QLD that just adds to the fun. Thanks for taking a peek

Retro Sketches, 10 minutes Craft Dash

Happy TGIF day....so my friend Vikki finished work early today and we're skyping so I'm motivated. Found this new blog challenge at Pretty Pink Posh - 10 minute craft dash #5, and thought I'd maybe give it a go. Picked this nice layout from Retro Sketches rs#34 to use with the dash colours....weelllll I didn't make it in 10 minutes got as far as the little pic - no words. Anyway in 12 I had it finished a tweeked the ribbon flower a bit. It's not impossible but you do have to have a plan and all your bits out ready. I hadn't made one of these flowers so that was the hold up (saw a tutorial on Creative Paper Trade - Ribbon Flower)

Dynamic Duos

Well since our fun time at Vikki's my mojo has disappeared completely - we've returned from our holiday, moved to a new caravan park and as hubby is away now for 3 days, so this morning I dug all my stuff out from under the bed and then stared at it....nothing!!  Well I found a lovely card from Vikki in the post this arvo  and it's given me a little push to shake myself and get on with it.....

<Big SIGH> .... well this card has evolved!!!.......didn't have a plan just thought I'd go with the Dynamic Duos DD#25 colours - orange shades aren't something I do much with, but pumpkin would be a favourite. I just randomly stamped the three outline flowers then thought I'd do one to pop-out, then decided not interesting so coloured them a couple of times with various shades of Twinkling H2Os and of course the card buckled...than looked drab so I stamped on the smaller black flowers as centers and embossed them, add bling. Then I realized the challenge said you could use die cuts so that would be a good way to add a verse...very boring so swiped the edges and added swirls and then finished it off with some black bling. Outcome is that I now find it quite difficult to work with just two colours :-)  Thanks for taking a peek

Less is More, Pals Paper Arts

Less is More: Week 89 One Layer

Time for

ONE LAYER

again and this time we have given you lots of
scope with our theme of
Wings
Hi again....this weekend we've had time to actually make a card and post it with Less is More - a one layer challenge with wings, and I've used a past Pals Paper Arts colour theme - Pink, Green, Brown.
I like the soft colours with this one.....thanks for taking a peek

Deconstructed Sketch

  Deconstructed Sketch No. 73
Good morning from beautiful sunny Queensland.....and some rather tired ladies...but are we enjoying ourselves. I finished this card late last night using the Deconstructed Sketch #73 and am very happy with it...it's a bit shabby and I do like the bird stamp from Chocolate Baroque.  Vikki has this new banner die so  it's been getting a hammering by us all and it seems banners are very popular on blogs at present.Well I'm off to make a couple more cards ...thanks for taking a peek

Freshly Made Sketches, Play Date Cafe

Hello again, I hope you're having a super weekend....we are :-)
Well I really liked the simple layout of Freshly Made Sketches #56 and then also the colours at Play Date Cafe #153 this week (Bubblegum, Tangerine & Pear).....BUT ... well they didn't come together at all...I ended up making a whole new center panel and here's what I've come up with..just a tiny bit of Bubblegum
The pics a bit dark but it's fresh and cheery....thanks for taking a peek

Mojo Monday

Here's Vikki Ryans card for MojoMonday #262....I love her colours

Mojo Monday, Sketchbook Saturday, Dynamic Duo

Estelle Hill

I'm posting some cards for friends without blogs...they've both made cards using Mojo Monday layout....

Vikki Ryan has been on a roll and made two cards...this one using Sketchbook Saturday layout.

Retro Sketches, Scrapbook Boutique

On a roll here at Vikki's - here's my second card using colours from Scrapbook Boutique - October challenge and the layout from Retro Sketches #32 - the centre pink panel I made for another card and it looked awful so luckily it peeled off and "wella" it fitted perfectly with the chocolate brown. ... I'm happy.  There's lots of chatter and sharing and a few more friends have called in too.  Thanks for taking a peek.

Sketchbook Saturday, Dynamic Duos

Smiling broadly.......'cause I'm sitting here in Townsville in Vikki's new craft room with our friends Estelle and (other) Vikki.....we all rocked up with loads of card, inks, stamps etc. yesterday afternoon and worked away  till round 1:30pm ,- chatting and catching up with our news and are back at  it this morning. Think I might post  some of the cards our friends make too as they don't have blogs.....see you later today.

For my card this morning I've used Dynamic Duos DD#23 colours for last week (again we  missed the deadline) and also the layout for Sketchbook Saturday #80...of course we are sharing our supplies and seeing as I only have a few inks and card with me I get to use Vikki's dies and embossing folders....nice for a change.
I'm liking my soft colours and the contrast..
Thanks for taking a peek

Freshly Made Sketches, Design Seeds

  chameleon tones
Well I'm having a lovely afternoon chatting to friend Vikki while making cards - there's excitement because we're planning our next weekend.... :-)  I'll be visiting my kids in Townsville and Vikki's planning a stamp camp at her new craft room so instead of Skyping we'll be sitting across the table from each other..fun, fun and more cards.  Here's my card for this afternoon - I'm really happy with it ...following the layout from Freshly Made Sketches #55 and colours similar to the Design Seeds - Chameleon. Thanks for taking a peek
