Just for You

My last card for today is using the layout at Sketchbook Saturday#126 and the pallet is from The Card Concept 15 challenge using Aqua, Lime and White. I created the background with mist and stencil and die cut a fancy edge to mount under my stamped image. Add some sequins to brighten the flower cup and mounted this and the stamped sentiment on a large cut banner tag. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Where Flowers Bloom

So very quickly I've finished off my card today as I found I only had 30 minutes till the City Crafters challenge - Week 208...Paint It, closed.  I have also used the layout at Sketchbook Saturday #120.
I have painted the background of my card with acrylics in a kind of wash and then stamped my flourish with white paint and gave it a Mod Podge coat to seal it - I love how it turned out.  For my two tabs I stamped one with the sentiment and repeated the flourish with white paint on the other and dressed it with a couple of mini buttons and a flower. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Hello

mmmm....must be in a floral mood - a few cards have been dressed with flowers this week, so I'm guessing my jars on my desk are working. For this card I've used the Sketchbook Saturday #114 as a guide and am really happy with the result. It's blowy and scrawly showers outside here so hope you're having nice weather where you are. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Bright Merry Christmas

Oh yes did I not dig into the bags in search of ribbons for this card and yes, some I've had for a very long time, what they asked for at the Shopping Our Stash challenge SOS#123 this week - your oldest ribbon. I've teamed that with the layout at Sketchbook Saturday #107 for this gold theme Christmas card. Thanks for taking a peek

Thinking about You

I'm early this Saturday morning, got a move on with the chores and decided to finish off this card and get it posted straight off.  I watched a tutorial at Topical Tuesdays tt072 on Annabelle Stamps blog, on using different coloured embossing powders , so searched in my drawers for my old stock and there you go I have pink, blue, white and pearl white and a few others....clear emb powder created the black looking images.  I've used the layout at Sketchbook Saturday #99 and am quite happy with this very different card that emerged. Thanks for taking  a peek

Warm Thoughts

Well I started this card on Saturday and have been able to finish it off today - I love the warm earthy colours of the challenge at Just Add Ink JAI 160 and the layout at Sketchbook Saturday 93. Hope you like my interpretation of the challenges, thanks for taking a peek.

PS.  I'm still having so much trouble with my camera and true colours, I'm certainly going to try and set up a photo light box.....soon

Special day Wishes

My card this afternoon started with me make a long card for the CAS-ual Friday CFC86 challenge, then I combined it with the colours at JUGS172 - gorgeous Lime Green, Grey and White and the Chuppa's lovely layout at Sketchbook Saturday #88.
We four had a super weekend creating at Vikki's and I just want to thank her for sharing her space with us - it's a cheery room where we were able to spread out and feel at home, bounce our ideas of each other and share our stuff, looking forward to our next stamp weekend.

Our Creative Corner, Sketchbook Saturday

My next card for today (while I'm skyping with friend Vikki) is using the layout from Sketchbook Saturday #84 and the ABC challenge at Our Creative Corner.  As you can see I'm still on the distress ink background kick, and to comply with the OCC challenge I have stamped an angle on the bottom corner of the tag which is mounted in chipboard and then a button the finish it off.

Sketchbook Saturday, Dynamic Duos

Smiling broadly.......'cause I'm sitting here in Townsville in Vikki's new craft room with our friends Estelle and (other) Vikki.....we all rocked up with loads of card, inks, stamps etc. yesterday afternoon and worked away  till round 1:30pm ,- chatting and catching up with our news and are back at  it this morning. Think I might post  some of the cards our friends make too as they don't have blogs.....see you later today.

For my card this morning I've used Dynamic Duos DD#23 colours for last week (again we  missed the deadline) and also the layout for Sketchbook Saturday #80...of course we are sharing our supplies and seeing as I only have a few inks and card with me I get to use Vikki's dies and embossing folders....nice for a change.
I'm liking my soft colours and the contrast..
Thanks for taking a peek

A bit of a lazy day here in Perth, I finished reading my novel and thankfully the sun is shining.
I've put together this bright 'friends' card using the layout from Sketchbook Saturday and the colours from an article in Oct Better Homes and Gardens and also a bunch of buttons for the Scrapbook Boutique monthly challenge. Thanks for taking a peek.

Christmas, Sketchbook Saturday Challenge 60

Morning all, here's my second card for today...my mojo is flowing and I think I'm realising the urgency of getting on with my Christmas card....thankfully all the sketch challenges are lending themselves to Christmas cards. Here I've used the sketch from Random Acts of Creativity - Sketchbook Saturday. I really do like this sketch and think it would make a great birthday card...one with flowers of course.  Thanks for taking a peek
