Some beautiful sunrises on our morning walks now

Today I have a floating frame card... I do like these cards... especially because you can get two-for-one.... and those stamp sets with matching dies are a huge help.  I'm using the cut-out for another card which I'll post later.

First I stamped and light gold embossed the two floral sprays and leaves a number of times and die cut them out.  Then I watercoloured them with Distress Inks.. keeping a soft look to the images. Then position all the pieces on a white card panel and used washi tape to hold them in place while I die cut the centre.  Next carefully take to tape off and used foam tape to replace and lift the pieces, on both card fronts. I attached pale pink card to the back of the window and attached to a white card.  I stamped the sentiment on a die cut stitched rectangle and gold embossed it... and used foam sheet to attach to the centre of the opening... to finish I added some white Nuvo crystal drops.

Spring is in the Air - a Twofer set

Hi and thanks for stopping by my blog today.  Hope all is well for you and that you're managing to fill in your day while we all try to stay at home.  As well as making cards I've been crocheting different squares - it's a group called Moogly CAL 2020 - you can find on the net.

I had so much fun recently using a die cut as a stencil and then creating two cards from this technique.
I firstly die cut this gorgeous die in white card and taped it in place over a white card panel.
Then using post-it notes to mask areas I blended with blending brushes over the 'stencil' with different colours of Distress Oxide Inks.

These photos show Card 1 - which is the stencilled or bottom layer...

This is Card 2 - the coloured stencil ... to finish this one I blended blue ink around the die cut edge.

To finish both cards... I attached to white cards and added stamped and heat embossed sentiment.

Our Christmas tree and my favourite 2019 card

The Card Concept #HOL19 final challenge for 2019 is for us to share a photo of our Christmas tree or favourite card..... I have included both - our tree is fibreoptic and this year I decorated with only elongated ornaments - didn't realise I had some many of them, it did look lovely lit up at night.  And my card I made back in October (here) - a clean and simple card with some masked sponging and a stamped Robin coloured with pencils.  I've had a wonderful creative year, stretching my techniques while joining in with many blog challenges - I've made over 330 cards and given lots away to family and friends.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it ----   Happy New Year and may 2020 be healthy, safe and creative... cheers

Friends are Angels....

Don't we all love a fluttering butterfly, some days we get those glorious blue Ulysses in our garden  ... this afternoon I have a card for The Card Concept #119 challenge - Beautiful Butterflies.  I used a large stencil and red and blue ink sponged onto damp watercolour card on one wing for the background panel, then some splats of pale green to break the bland background.  I stamped the sentiment/image on top in black and then used Twinkling H2O to colour the butterfly - I used a fine black marker to outline the butterfly.  Then mounted my panel with a light green border onto a cyan card..

I have a simple CAS style Valentines card today -- for my hubby....
I sprinkled peony scarlet Magical Micas over my large heart/love script stencil, and lightly sprayed with water.  I didn't quite lift the stencil quick enough so some areas are a bit washed out - still I love the shimmer of these powders.  The heart is a little too large for a card so I used a die to re-size it and simply added it to a red square card and to finish - just the right stamped sentiment for us.

Happy Birthday

Just a little time left for my to join in with challenge #106 at The Card Concept - Pink Party.
Love the crisp contrast of the white, pink, black and gold on the inspirational photo... so I included these on my card.
I stamped my vase of flowers with grey ink, water coloured them with DO and roughly cut them out.  Then on my front white panel I sponged black ink through part of a dotty stencil across the bottom and stamped and gold embossed my sentiment. Lastly assembled the elements on a grey card.

Have a Wonderful Birthday

Lastly today I have a Sunflower card... the theme at The Card Concept #99 challenge.
I masked the corner of my front panel and stamped on my sunflower and embossed with gold EP.  Then I coloured the image with pencils and the smudged in the background blue... did you ever use a piece of blotting paper to smudge pencil colouring - I did way in school and then I found some blotting paper while tidying up my craft cupboard last week... it gives a lovely finish and you can fade it nicely.  I used a golden yellow to frame the panel onto a blue card and then to finish stamped my sentiment in blue and added a gold flower trinket and bow.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

Here I am with my second card today.....  for The Card Concept #9 challenge...inspirational photo Golden Table.  I love the colours in the photo and the gold... so I did some masking and stamped my image along the bottom of my card and used Distress Oxides to watercolour them.  Then I mixed some of my gold powders together with water to achieve a glitter gold wash background to the flowers...had trouble photographing this card.  I added a bit more gold with a frame and die cut sentiment and arranged these on a cream card.  I think my style is Classy and Elegant.

Friendship...

My friendly owl sitting on his branch in the moonlight is a combination of die cut pieces - ovals, hearts, circles and a scalloped border, cut with my trusty Cuttlebug.  Also a die cut branch for his perch.

First I sponged my yellow moon and then used a die cut circle to mask it - I used Distress Inks - then used three shades of blue to blend the night sky around my full moon, and stamped on my sentiment.  Then I added a orange layer to frame the panel on a blue card.  I am playing along with The Card Concept challenge #95 - Owl Cherish our Friendship and Shopping Our Stash #359 challenge - She's a Craftin' Machine.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.
