Hello, my lovely friend

Running late as usual... with my May card for the

I'm also joining in the fun at

Rummaging through my huge collection of scraps and offcuts, I selected these two pieces just because the colours blended and I like the fairy strip.
I used three embossing folders
  • the long thin one from a Damask Rose set,  I smooched it with broken china DO and then embossed the edge
  • then embossed the two PP scraps along the top right side with the Kaisercraft Liberty EF - I put the folder through at an angle and then smoothed some of the lower embossing with the flat side of my scoring tool
  • glued these to card and trimmed to fit a white card
  • from my die cut butterfly stash I chose a large butterfly and embossed it with Cuttlebug Textile EF.... then highlighted the raised areas with white marker
  • attached it along with a small die cut butterfly and flower in shine soft blue metallic card and finished with stamped sentiment - Jillibean Soup - Flower bloom set

Merry Christmas

Well there goes another month of 2022...

and it's time for a Christmas card for the Rudolph Days May challenge

  • I used a stamped image I had in my stash of this ornament... well it was a partially gold embossing one that I hadn't discarded...   so I finished it off and fussy cut it out  --- Ornament from Chocolate Baroque - Snowflake  Flourish, I painted it with Mister Hueys Shine Mist and mixed in some gold Magical Micas for the star... also die cut the hang section from another die cut ornament
  • Attached the bauble to some gold Bokeh patterned paper onto a gold card
  • And finished with a gold metallic die cut sentiment - Creative Expressions - Festive Mini Expressions, that I strategically placed over the messed up embossed part of the ornament.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.... have a Wonderful weekend,   Cheers Robyn

Wonderful Christmas

Sharing a card today made up with bits from my stash.... a holly stamped background, some die cut holly and a cute birdhouse, then I found a stamped sentiment to finish the card.... all I needed was a little bird...

Watercoloured my bits with Distress Inks, lightly blended grey ink over the birdhouse so it would stand out and added some blue smooched card to the back of the heart cutout. Trimmed the panel and added a green layer onto a square red card.

With the addition of holly I quickly had another Christmas card to add to my pile.... I am playing along with Double 'D' challenge - Birds, Bird Nest/Houses and Cages

Thanks for stopping by my blog... have a wonderful day,    cheers Robyn

Card Chain challenge Reveal

Reveal day for the card posted across the globe in the monthly Card Chain Challenge...  My card went to Joanne in the USA

I chose the Spring theme and also used the colour palette and layout for my card.

  • Used the Spellbinders nesting circles, to die cut the layout from green dotty patterned paper
  • Stamped Daffodils from Altenew Wishing You set, on white card for the large circle opening and watercoloured with Distress Inks
  • Stamped more flowers from Happy Little Stampers Daffodil Portrait, watercoloure and fussy cut - for the two smaller circles
  • Die cut a Daffodil from card I watercoloured with same colours so they'd match - die cut from Altenew - Layered Daffodil set
  • Arranged and attached elements to a white card
  • Finished with white embossed stamped sentiment (Floral Fancies - Practical Publishing) on black card and attached with foam tape.

We do enjoy swapping cards with card making friends across the world, big thanks to Gail and Jo for hosting CCC.
Enjoy your day, cheers Robyn
