.....and some more Christmas cards

Heat Embossing was the magic that attracted me to stamping and making cards many years ago

.... so this week the old heat gun has been busy, making for some quick cards

........... here's sample of some I've made

I am also joining in with Maureen and her helpers at Rudolph Days Christmas card challenge.

Happy to report also that I've sent off all my overseas cards... lovely to remember family and friends at this time of year.

Enjoy your weekend... cheers Robyn

Some more Christmas cards

I got into the swing of things at my desk yesterday and here are a couple more cards using the

A couple of background Christmasy stamps white embossed for the backgrounds and then another Poinsettia stencil  for the first and a fancy swirl tree for the second

Then while I was at it... I finished a couple of UFOs on my desk
This one using a dry embossed background to show off the die cut Robin

And these two were even simpler... using patterned papers to display some diecuts and stamped images from my stash.

Last month I showed off a blanket I was making  - and here it is all finished... happy me!

Thanks for stopping by my blog
Enjoy your day

Christmas cards ...

Needing to add a few more cards to my Christmas stash, so I was inspired by the technique and cards at Group of Seven Cardmakers

For these two I used a Poinsettia stencil and then a Star one over white heat embossed script

With my next cards I created two from this one stencil - after creating the one of the left I place the inked stencil onto a card panel from my stash that I had already white embossed and used a baby wipe to clean the stencil... which created this soft version

Huge thanks Loll, for your inspiration and encouragement.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, have a Wonderful Weekend...  I'll be back with a few more soon!!

Cheers Robyn

Card Chain Challenge October Reveal

This month I sent my Card Chain Challenge card off to Arlene in USA.

I used the sketch, colour palette - blue, pink and silver and friendship theme

I watercoloured Blossom Sprays #5 from STAMPlorations with Distress Inks, trimmed the image and gave it a shiny silver border.  Found a pretty blue floral patterned paper in my stash and arrange the pieces to suit the layout and finished off with a stamped sentiment on a die cut circle, border also with shiny silver card.
