Leafy Christmas cards

Couple of Christmas cards
I did manage to have some mojo return over the weekend and created a few Christmas cards to add to my slowly growing stash. The prompting from Darnells weekly IDEAS theme - 'A' for Anything Goes, fits both my cards.
AND to help Jo celebrate
100 Christmas Kickstart challenges,
CONGRATULATIONS --well done Jo
I made this gold, red and white card featuring 'spots'
Stamped and gold embossed this Christmas Flourish stamp 'off the page', then decorated it with some punched sparkly red holly and finished with a gold embossed sentiment on a raised die cut circle.
Well I fluffed around for any ideas for a Christmas card... and trees seem to be the answer but living in Australia and having Christmas in Summer it funny making cards with snowy winter themes.

More Bauble Christmas cards
My brain sure does come up with some "interesting" ideas at times ---
Group of Seven Cardmakers product theme this month is Embossing Paste and I enjoyed the effects with my first purple card, so I came up with the idea to add some patterned texture to my latest fad with Christmas Baubles.I mixed up some Impasto Medium with Gold Pearl Powdered Pigment and searched through my stencils to find some swirly patterns. Then using a mask I added the paste to my dry watercoloured baubles.

Some swirling around....
I made my first floral card with the technique from Just Add Ink challenge #746 - Just Add Swirls...
using a stencil to blend yellow and green Distress Inks on a strip of white card... teamed this with some matching gold card with a thin strip of green
and finished off with a watercoloured die cut flower and stamped sentiment
Thanks for stopping by my blog, have a Wonderful Easter -- wishing you Peace and Enjoy some family time, Cheers Robyn

Thanks for the Inspiration...
Feels like my mojo is awakening a little bit, as I've made 12 cards so far this month and it helps to check our challenges to inspire one, and to put down ones crochet hook for a bit.
It's E = Embossing week at Darnell's IDEAS prompt... so I've made a card using both dry and wet embossing...
And looking out at the challenges I'm joining in with
Just Add Ink challenge #742 - inspired by the photo
and
Just Us Girls - Word Week #766 - Green
and
Neglected Stuff March challenge
I chose this embossing folder with a close pattern so when I applied the embossing ink it would stick mostly to the raised areas, then heat embossed with some long forgotten Leaf Green Embossing Powder (gosh the container is still nearly full - it's a wonder it still worked). Finished with a stamped and watercoloured hibiscus and some die cut foliage.

Unearthing some poor forgotten dies, stamps and inks...
Can't believe I'm back again with a couple more cards.... but as the Twinkling H2Os were still out on my desk I figured why not make another card or two.... so I'm using
Darnells IDEAS prompt with Dies again
and joining in the #100 challenge celebrations at
The Flower Challenge and Adding some Circles

Three Floral Cards
First up today I've been playing with some stamping single flowers and leaves and masking to layer them... for this card I used Distress Inks to stamp the outlines and them to water colour them.... finished off with a stamped sentiment.... as it is the first week of March I am inspired by

Dry Embossed Highlights over Ink Blending
After weeks and heat wave temperatures the weather finally broke and Lows have been gathering off the coast, no cyclones have formed but we have been inundated with rain - 940mm (abt 36in) in the last 8 days, mostly in the last 5 days, so mix that with high tides and there has been flooding along the rivers in town, plus we have a large water storage dam which is being fed from catchment areas and that is currently having planned water releases to alleviate some flooding... we're ok but our yard has seen a lot of water - this pic was Friday with 30cm (12in) deep.
