A New Challenge ... Birds and Flower cards

The Ladies at Double 'D' have a NEW Challenge... right up my alley...

Here's my card for their March Challenge

Attached this sweet little die cut bird (Uniquely Creative - a friends die), which I watercoloured with Distress Inks,  to the background that I created using Distress Inks blended through Splash Stencil (from Craft Essentials).  Stamped the sentiment (Hero Arts- Petite Wishes) with black ink on a strip of lime green card and attached this with foam tape.    I am also playing along with the Color Throwdown challenge- ctd733.. pale blue, yellow and lime
My second card is for the

Love the pastel colours of the Moodboard (my card is a lot softer in real life).  Stamped the floral cake image (Stampin' Up -Happy Birthday to You set) and white embossed it... then watercoloured it with Distress Inks and fussy cut it out.  Stamped and white embossed the sentiment (Close to my Heart - Joyful Birthday Occasions set) and pale green card and attached to the pink patterned paper background with a zigzag die cut edge... finished the card using foam tape to attach the cake.
Thanks for stopping by my blog... have a Wonderful Day,     Cheers Robyn

A few more cards as we approach the end of January - where did the month go?

Enjoying my weekend, how about you?   and thanks for stopping by my blog.

Today I finished off 3 cards I started during the week...

My first card is a floral birthday card using the colour palette for the Color Throwdown challenge -ctd727....  mustard, pink & green
I stamped and silver embossed the Inspired by Stamping Tulip Bouquet and watercoloured with Distress Inks.  Stamped and silver embossed the sentiment and layered to a white card with mustard frame.

My second is also a Birthday card... for the CAS challenge at Just Us Girls #664 - Birthday.       This stamped floral is from my stash... stamped in grey and watercoloured with Distress Inks.  Stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts with grey ink and clear embossed and attached the panel to a pink card.

My last is a White on White Christmas card for the  AAA Cards Challenge #232    I used a new Embossing Folder (Chloes Creative Cards), embossed on white card and then fussy cut... the sentiment is part of the EF too.
Have a fabulous day, Cheers Robyn

Live Life to the Full

Nice bright colours for this weeks Colour Throwdown Challenge - ctd509.... red, orange and blue.
My background panel was created with Distress Oxides and a fair bit of water misting... I dried the first colour completely before adding the second.  Then I stamped my dancing girl image and coloured her with markers and fussy cut  before adding some matching colour blocks as a frame and attaching with foam tape along with my stamped sentiment.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend

Just for You

A sketch from Try Stamping on Tuesdays #338 and a colour theme from Colour Throwdown #460 for this card.  I thought to colour the tulips blue...but find it hard to be unrealistic in my colours - so I've attempted to  make white flowers... added just a touch of cream for shading and very pale blue background. Some die cut lace edge and navy ribbon and bow with a mini sentiment to finish. Thanks for taking a peek

Life is a Cup of Tea

House Mouse and Friends HMFMC #247 sure did give us a challenge this time... Anything BUT a Card but I checked out my stamps and thought this cute Feeling Rosy one with Maxwell in a Cup would be perfect to make some toppers, then I ended up making a tag too.  I stamped the image, and to make the topper - creased it and cut around the head so it would fold back.  Then I coloured them with Distress Inks and used a die to cut the stitched tag.  I do like a cup of tea so I put four teabags in my cellophane bags and attached the toppers.
I used the colour theme at Colour Throwdown #456 - Pink, Green and Yellow.  Thanks for taking a peek... I'm sure a couple of friends will enjoy these.

Hello Friend

So today my card is inspired by Christine's card below for this months Power Poppy challenge - Copy a Bloomie  - copy and share your inspiration from one of the PP team.  I just love the bright colours of this card and the fact that Christine formed a wreath from a small stamp on a set.  I have chosen two small sprays from the Countryside Bouquet Deluxe set and stamped and masked them into a wreath shape, then coloured them with Brushos and fussy cut.  I copied the other aspects of her card too... the layout, the stitching and ribbon bow and firstly the bright green main panel.  I'm very happy with how it turned out and I also love to use stamps in a different way. I am also  posting to Colour Throwdown challenge CTD453  with the colour theme - Crimson, Yellow and Green and also to Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Anything Goes.  Thanks for taking a peek

Live every Moment...

Lovely Saturday here in Townsville where I'm visiting while hubby is away for two weeks and even better I've had a sleepover at Saturday skyping friend Vikki's home with another crafty friend Estelle and we're in our element in Vikki's craft room stamping our hearts out.
Late last night I complete two cards...this one for the Retro Sketches rs#113 layout and using the palette at Color Throwdown ctd291. Some gorgeous background paper and a punched flower I think brings the theme together. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Fill Your Life....

SOS #142: Sentiment(s) Only

This afternoon I'm enjoying some skyping time with my stamping friend Vikki... she's on a roll and I'm bouncing along behind.. We've tackled these three challenges and I bet they are worlds apart... Shopping Our Stash SOS#142 would like the sentiment to be the focal point of the card and to do that I've used the layout at Freshly Made Sketches FMS#127. For the colour theme I'm running with Color Throwdown #283 - grey, celery and tangerine.
Thanks for taking a peek and hope you're having a great weekend Robyn

Gone fishin'

Oh boy ... another male, that's a bit scary from me... and I've combine three challenges again.  The layout from Crazy 4 Challenges C4C233 and the colour palette from Color Throwdown ctd280 and then the theme "Jump" for CAS-ology.  I did have my fish and sentiment already stamped in my collected of prestamped images - just a quick paint job with my aquabrush and distress ink pads...they come in handy now and again.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Love and Best Wishes

I've seen some beautiful card done with the white embossing and colouring on kraft coloured paper...so thought that the palette at Color Throwdown ctd#278 would maybe work for this technique. I've teamed it with the layout at CAS(E) this Sketch CTS#63.  I think the beautiful stamp from Chocolate Baroque is lovely on this card, Thanks for taking a peek  Robyn
