Two Daisy Cards

The Twofer Card Challenge for March is Open to Your Choice.. so I have chosen  Daisy die cuts

My first card I used the die cut printing technique they are challenging over at CAS Mix Up March Watercolour challenge.... only for me I used Versamark and white embossed the prints on a green smooched background from my stash - then die cut another in white card and to match the white I also white embossed the flower and then used green embossing pen and clear EP on the stem....I added yellow embossing pen to the flower centre and embossed it too.  To finish I stamped and silver embossed the sentiment and counted with foam tape.

For my second card I die cut 5 daisies and watercoloured the centres with Distress Ink and trimmed off the stems.  I stamped my lady in a hat image in black and watercoloured with DI.  Then arranged the elements on a red card and added a purple border to the stamped panel

I really like both card, and the second I left with the stamps' sentiment thinking you could add any occasion sentiment inside
So happy you popped over to my blog - have a Wonderful Creative weekend.

Dream.....

Having an enjoyable week and have made a card other than Christmas....
for the Power Poppy Power & Spark November challenge - Portion Control.
I love using parts of stamps so just had to make one... I used a stamped sentiment on a white panel from my stash and luckily enough it had lots of space around it to 'off the page' stamp three sweet pea images from the PP Sweet Memories set.  I used DOX to water colour the images and then trimmed to size and used black card and a fine framing layer.  Then whoopie I found this gorgeous 'matching' DP in my stash - can't believe my luck - do you colour an image and then find you can't match it up with anything?  I do!!  So that lovely panel was all my card needed onto a white card.  To finish I added a few sequins for sparkle.  Thanks for taking a peek

Life is Sweet

This afternoon while leafing through my stash of pre-stamped images I came across this cool pear and thought it was just right for the Shopping Our Stash challenge this week m- SOS305 - You are so Sweet.  Just enough border around the image to die cut it with my stitched rectangle and then 3D mount it to this stenciled background I also found in the stash.  Only needed to stamp on my 'embrace', hand write 'it' and add a mini wooden leaf embellishment.  Thanks for taking a peek

Life is a Cup of Tea...

After a enjoyable weekend away caravaning with friends, I found some time this afternoon to make a card for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers - Sunday Sip and Share challenge. Firstly I grabbed this smooched background and found some matching Designer Paper and  I hand cut a mug from it  and also added a handle cut from a heart diecut.  Then I decided to cut a few of the flowers from the paper too. I stamped my sentiment on a stitched die cut and mounted them all onto a square card.  To finish I stamped a sentiment on the inside and added a flower.  I am also posting to Shopping Our Stash #300 - Caffeine Fix, and Come and Get It challenge - Make It Square.   Thanks for taking a peek

Embrace Life

A very clean and simple card from me today... not my usual thing, but I'm quite happy with the finished card.  I stamped the flourish in Distress Ink and my sentiment in black so it will be the focaal point. To finish I layer the top  panel on matching green card and onto a black card and added a green gem. Live Life Out Loud

Stamplorations are holding a Colour Blooms Blog hop and Linky Party to celebrate the release of their Colour Blooms Colouring Book especially for card makers, crafters and mixed media artists.  What a fabulous idea - for me it immediately said - a quick grab package for when you're on the go and still want to be able to colour images for my cards. I made this card using the free download page and did have lots of fun.  I thought it lent itself to mixed media so I painted the whole page with white gesso and then used Twinkling H2Os to roughly paint the flowers. Then I spritzed pale pink mist over a stencil on parts and also added some dimension with pink coloured texture paste. I printed another page on card and painted and coloured three flowers to mount over my stamped sentiment label.  I finished by layering the front onto bright colour card and added a few pink Liquid Pearls to the flower centers. Thanks for taking a peek

Fill Your Life....

SOS #142: Sentiment(s) Only

This afternoon I'm enjoying some skyping time with my stamping friend Vikki... she's on a roll and I'm bouncing along behind.. We've tackled these three challenges and I bet they are worlds apart... Shopping Our Stash SOS#142 would like the sentiment to be the focal point of the card and to do that I've used the layout at Freshly Made Sketches FMS#127. For the colour theme I'm running with Color Throwdown #283 - grey, celery and tangerine.
Thanks for taking a peek and hope you're having a great weekend Robyn
