Being Together....Best Gift of All

Today I have another Christmas card using the theme at One Layer Christmas Card challenge #13 - Anything Goes with a twist...Gift. I have also used the palette at Pals Paper Arts PPA259 - Blue, Red and Silver.  This cute House Mouse stamp was perfect for the 'gift' twist and just used the blue and red for the gifts and then I decided to colour all the bows silver and add a hand drawn border to finish the card. Thanks for taking a peek
I did make this card first but as you do at times I muffed the sentiment stamping and had to cover it with a label.

Plant Love

I have had this stamp for quite a while and never used it, so I am happy today that it's made it's mark. Two challenges for this morning; Pals Paper Arts PPA258... colours - navy, green, watermelon. I have used the July Sketch at Happy Little Stampers - which suits my tree really well. Thanks for taking a peek

Freedom... and ...Happiness

This little bird has been sitting on my desk for some time waiting to be used...so with the theme at Shopping Our Stash SOS#196 who have a joint challenge with Words 2 Scrap by W2SB16
The Earth Has Music - bird song was a image that came straight to my mind.  I love the sounds of Nature - just the wind or the sea, it's never quiet when you really listen.
I have also used the colours from Pals Paper Arts PPA247 challenge - Blackberry, Eggplant and Plum. I created the back panel with Distress Inks and Perfect Pearl Mist so it has a gorgeous shimmer, then randomly stamped some music and leaves. I layered the sentiment and 3D mounted the circle frame and bird.

Happy Birthday

Good to be back at my desk and finishing off a few CIPs (cards in progress), but it was lovely to have a break, catch up with family and enjoy Easter.
My card today is a birthday card for Seize the Birthday  - Anything Goes and Pals Paper Arts PPA246 - lovely colour palette. It is also for my friends ABC Tags and Cards Project - letter E for Embossing.
I have double embossed the white panel by first placing the Label die face down white card which is placed on my rubber embossing mat and then my open Swiss Dots embossing folder on top - I ran this through the Cuttlebug and I got a frame on the card and dots all around....I like this. Then I stamped the sentiment on a smaller die cut Label and 3D foam mounted it in the center.  I layered the panel on an orange shade of card and finished it off with a die cut flower, leaves and a 'kraft' hessian bow.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

On Your Special Day

Hi and hope you're enjoying your day...I've been busy at my desk making a card for the Whoo Hoo Wednesday technique tutorial #132 over at Inspired by Stamping. Joanna has a video tut on how to incorporate a larger stamped image into a die. I have done this before but it's a great way to display an image and add dimension.  I played along also with the Pals Paper Arts PPA197 card layout, used some soft pink DP as background, watercoloured the lovely Rose image from IBS Flowers Bloom set and the sentiment, and dressed the card with some ribbon, lace and pearls.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Just because...

IBSIC-#762-20Sketch192Hi there this bright rather warm Saturday where I'm at my desk again skyping with my friend Vikki.  Today I've made a card using the layout at Pals Paper Arts PPA192 and the colours for the Inspired by Stamping #76 challenge.  I scrounged deep in the paper drawers to find this piece of gold background, stamped a couple of rose buds on the bottom corner and layered a few die cut labels to carry the sentiment and topped it off with three deep purple flowers with bling centers.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

PPA186 Jan 2Recently I bought this new die or rather a stitching stencil by Ann's Paper Art and it works a treat in my cuttlebug. I'm playing along with the colour scheme at Pals Paper Arts PPA186 and I'm liking  these colours for a change, the flower is from Chocolate Baroque and I've touched it up with some ink and gold inference powder.  Thanks for taking a peek and hope you've having a creative good time this weekend.

Be happy

  CeleryBashfulMarina

Hi blog visitors....so good to be back at my desk and skyping with Vikki after two weeks away....getting excited too as our furniture etc arrives next Friday and I'll finally be able to set up my stamping space and have all my gear after 10 months without it. I think I've done pretty well with what I was able to cart about with me in the caravan but in all aspects it will be nice to be settled in one spot for a few years.
Here's my card today using the layout at Retro Sketches re#57 and
the colours at Pals Paper Arts PPA156......there's no stamping on this card I  used the Friends embossing folder; inking the smooth side so the words would stand out white.
Thanks for taking a peek

Sending you a smile

RaspberryCoralCrumb
Well this afternoon I'm happily back Skyping with friend Vikki (at least we're in the same time zone now, only 720kms away) and enjoying the company of the native birds in our park who have become some friends they feel they can hop on up into the caravan looking for food, they're chatting away so loudly Vikki can hear them.....lorikeets, butcher birds, magpies, blue faced honey eaters and noising minor birds.  Anyway I've made a card using the layout at Freshly Made Sketches 76 and the colours from Pals Paper Arts PPA154 challenge - putting raspberry and coral together proved a challenge. Thanks for taking a peek
