Where does the time go or am I just distracted by other things !!!

A week behind but never mind...

I did at least start this card last week with

Darnell's IDEAS weekly prompt in mind  -

 week 2  - "D" = Dies

With Mothers' Day coming up in early May I have made a card for my mum, so now I'm sure to get in in the post so it will be delivered on time.  The lovely die sets you can get these days make it easy to put a 3D card together.

Next I've a couple of Christmas cards to share

This one is inspired by this months challenge at Christmas Kickstart #109 - Brimming with Style

So this cute stamped silver embossed image suits really well with their furry white trimmed Santa hats,  added a sparkly die cut sentiment to finish.

Walking in a Vintage Wonderland is the theme at Jingles Belles challenge

so I've watercoloured this silver embossed Vintage Feel stocking

Watercolour painting ..... floral cards

Of course my cards will feature flowers - I love them the best and most probably have the most floral stamps...

... and this is the first Monday of the month so it's 'I' for Inks/Colour Mediums  -- the prompt from Darnell's IDEAS.

This stamped image (STAMPlorations) - stamped in black and clear embossed (makes it much easier to colour in the lines) and watercoloured with Distress Inks, finished with a embossed stamped sentiment.

Second card - Uniquely Creative floral from Sending Love set....stamped in great Versafine and watercoloured with Distress Inks and finished with a silver embossed sentiment.

A Mothers' Day card for my mum - silver embossed a favourite PSX very old wood mounted Lily stamp... watercoloured with Distress Inks and a silver embossed sentiment.

Sent my card off to Mum with this framed crocheted floral heart -  she received it today and loves it.

Happy Mother's Day

Today I have a cute Mothers' Day card I thought the little grand daughters could give their mum next Sunday... I used lots of the elements from Lynne's card (below) from the Muse challenge #264 - I flipped her layout, used a square card, with a cute image and flowers.  I stamped and watercoloured my cute bear with his armful of flowers and added some tiny glitter dots. Then to finish added a bright pink layer onto my white card.  I am also playing along at Shopping Our Stash challenge SOS#352 Mother's Day.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Happy Mothers' Day

This card has been a work in progress for a few weeks... I stamped, watercoloured and fussy cut my red roses...first, then followed the process of how to use them.  So I decided on a heart in the background - a white die cut heart that I dry embossed with tiny heart EF.  Then I used the die to cut an opening in my front panel, the white heart fitted snug but was a little lost so I smooched the edge with red ink.  The I used foam tape to raise my front panel and adhered the embossed heart to the card through the opening.  I arranged the flowers and used different thickness foam tape attach them.  Lastly I stamped my sentiment and die cut it t suit the size of the words then used the full die to cut a red shape to frame the label.
I am playing along with CAS Watercolour challenge for February - Heart theme.
Stamplorations February challenge - Paint-It-Red.
Also to Power Poppy Power & Spark challenge using the Love theme - because I dearly love my mum and know she'll love this card.

Happy Mothers' Day

My second Mothers' Day card today and both florals.   This one is made with a brand new stamp from Power Poppy Azalea set, so I am posting to their monthly challenge - Power & Spark, April - "you pick 3"....select three markers only to colour your image... well that was a bit difficult as I only have a few markers unpacked at this stage of our move back home - but came up with a double ended Brushables purple shade marker and a Distress Ink marker - Shabby Shutters. I am very happy with my colouring effort seeing as the purples weren't blendable. Finished off the card by mounting the fussy cut image over a purple oval onto an embossed background. Then I inked the edges of the the sentiment banner.  I am also going to post to The Card Concept #54 -Spring Flowers  I was inspired by the beautiful lilac colours in the inspiration photo and my card is a clean and layered style.

Happy Mothers' day

I have used this floral stamp from the Tulip Bouquet set from Inspired by Stamping to make my "Spring" themed card for Mothers' Day which is next weekend here in Australia. I watercoloured it and then die cut it to for the center piece overlaying a die cut lattice with mauve card to to highlight the cuts and edge.  A stamped tag, bow and pearls finish off the card - I do think my MIL is going to really like this (she's just had her 90th birthday). I am posting to Inspired by Stamping WEEKLY CARD/PROJECT SHARE THREAD April 25TH ~ This Week’s Prompt ~ SPRING THEME. Also at Crazy 4 Challenges C4C #333 the theme is Spring. And finally I'm posting to Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Anything Goes.  Thanks for taking a peek

Happy Mothers Days

This afternoon my card is another Mothers' Day Card for the pile I'm going to send off to be distributed to the Aussie troops abroad. I used the sketch at Try Stamping on Tuesdays #209.
I used a sheet of designer paper for the background and one of the co-coordinating strip, layered with a grey card strip to finish the bottom of the die cut fancy circle. I finished the card with a sentiment and round embellishment and heart.

Happy Mothers' Day

Another Mothers' Day card this afternoon for my stash to the Aussie troops.
I enjoyed using this technique (easy triple time stamping) last week so had another go today, Stamped the green swirls and then the roses in two shades of pink over the two panels and mounted them both of pink panels. Stamped and fussy cut one rose and stamped the sentiment on a fancy die cut label and attached with 3D foam tape. Using my rose stamp and pink colours I'm posting to the Inkspirational challenge #75. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Happy Mothers' Day

Today I've made another Mothers' Day card for the Aussie troops. I decided to have a go at watercolouring with my markers as Joanna demonstrated in her tutorial over at Inspired by Stamping.
I stamped the floral from the IBS Spring Bouquet set with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder, then followed along with the tute even flicking a few ink drops on the completed panel, I finished the card with a stamped sentiment. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

What's On Your Workdesk, Wednesday?

WOYWW #296 and the first for February.
..in my opinion! Here's my desk first thing this morning - yesterday I started at making Mothers' Day cards for the Aussie troops - my friend Karen put me on to this FB site and as I have heaps of time I'm going to join in and make a few.  Lucky for me I found two sheets of 12x12 with mothers day sentiments so I've cut them up into lots of usable pieces and have nearly completed 12....so you can see the makings of these cards on my desk today.  On the left next to the laptop I've had a go at making little envelopes out of hearts and will die cut hearts to put in there just got to work out how to display them on a card. And I have a house mouse card on the go - rightside/back.

If you'd like to know more about this craze of displaying our messy creative work  spaces, please pop over to Julias blog....she host this wonderful, sharing, inspiring event....
Thanks for visiting, have a great week Robyn

Happy Mothers' Day

My second card for this week is based on the layout at Try Stampin' On Tuesday #203.
I decided to create the background 'alternating bands' with my brayer and that Kaleidacolor Ink pad I've had for mmmmany years - unbelievable - it still works and much richer in colour than the photo. I stamped this bowl of flowers at my last visit to friend Vikkis and decided to use an oval shape and also die cut a scalloped oval to frame it. I coloured the image with Distress Inks and mounted it over a length of ricrac braid and finished the card with a small sentiment. I am also joining my friend Karen who is making Mothers' Day cards for the Aussie Troops, so we'll see how many I can rustle up. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Happy Mothers' Day

Today my stamping friend Vikki found this gorgeous card at Down Under Direct Inspirations and suggested we make a card.  So yes we did!! Here's my first Mothers' Day card and I wasn't planning to do one of those today.  I chose to back highlight mine with pink, add a few gems and a posy of flowers. I'm pretty happy with the result.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn
