I Was Thinking About You

A quick and easy CAS card for the prompt at Addicted to CAS #174 --- Tree.
I die cut a circle window in scrap and sponge blue DI gradually fading to white in the center on a white card panel.  Then stamped the tree in grey ink - twice and then the sentiment also in grey ink. And attached to a white card.  Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, happy stamping

Hoping Your Day Goes Swimmingly...

For this card I decided to use the Paper Towel with my 'moppings' on the card....there was just enough inked section the frame behind a double stitched die cut circle frame and to add some more interest I tore small sections and glued them in place around the edge.  I love that the PT wasn't too soppy and that the impressed circle design still showed, so I die cut white card circle to fit behind hold all the bits in place.  The circles reminded me of bubble so I chose to make an undersea theme and attached some die cut seaweed and a stamped seahorse... I dropped Alcohol Ink onto cream pearl card and after it dried stamped my image in permanent ink, then fussy cut it out.... the pearl card shows through the AI and so he's all shimmery...lasted added a silver embossed stamped sentiment on vellum.  I am playing along with CAS Mix Up August challenge - Paper Towel ...  And Shopping Our Stash #402 challenge - Gone Fishing!  ...   And Addicted to CAS challenge #165 - Bubble.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it - happy stamping.
Elements... Paper towel, stamping, die cuts, heat embossing, alcohol inks

Best Wishes

From my pre-stamped stash I found these gum leaves and gum nuts..which I water coloured with Distress Oxides and then fussy cut it out.  As it was a small image I die cut some gum leaves in white card to mount behind the image.  To finish the card I stamped on my sentiment.  I am playing along with Addicted to CAS #14 - Foliage.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your weekend.

The World is your Oyster

I've been busy with my blue/green water colour backgrounds  this one made by blotting up the leftover Twinkling H2Os on my plastic sheet  I love the shimmer .... today I have teamed my ocean/sea background with an oyster clam stamped with Versamark and embossed with pearl gold. I watercoloured the shell with Distress Inks, fussy cut it and added some pearl white paint to the pearl.  Then to finish I stamped my sentiment.  I am playing along with CAS Watercolour - Ocean theme, Addicted to CAS challenge #137 - Sea theme, Addicted to Stamps and More - Clean and Simple challenge #294 and Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Anything Goes.
Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Dream Big

My card this evening is for  two challenges -  Watercooler Wednesday challenge - WWC162 - Masculine Anything Goes, and Addicted to CAS - Birds.  I love this Kingfisher stamp (stamped and watercoloured with Distress Oxides and fussy cut) teamed with this 'fishy' embossed background - I think is perfect for a male - the tricky part was finding a sentiment and in the end this one had me thinking of men fishing - always after the big fish or the big fish that got away.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Merry Christmas

We couldn't have a 'glittery' challenge without a Christmas card....so here I have a very sparkly ornament....have  to agree with others - it's so difficult to get a photo. This month at CAS  Mix Up the theme is 'Glitter'.
I made the background panel by applying glue to a dry embossed white card and apply gold glitter. (to apply the glue I simply spread some glue thinly on my plastic work sheet and gently pressed the panel raised side down onto the glue - no I didn't hand paint the glue to all the raised bits as you can see there are bits I missed).  Then I used VersaMark and gold embossing powder to give the panel and edge.  Next I die cut my ornament from dull gold glitter card and popped the bits out.  To get the dark red I used glitter wrapping ribbon - stuck the strips side by side onto a piece of double sided tape - that's the roll in the pic - and glued the ornament to the red, and trimmed around it. I die cut a matching 'Bow" and attached that to the top of the ornament.
Then I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment in gold and attached them all the to the white card base.
I am also posting to Addicted to CAS #124 - theme BOWS.
Thanks for taking a peek

PS - my Alcohol Inks have been used twice prior to this, so I'm very happy they are seeing the light of day

Have a Great Day

Funny how some days you get a spurt at the very end of the day... which happened for me late afternoon yesterday and resulted in this card.
With a quick scrounge in my drawer for any pre-stamped images with wheels - more than I thought, I selected this one which I quickly coloured in with Brushos and silver gel pen before I fussy cut it out. I then had an idea to bend one of my border stamps sort of like tyre tracks to add simple detail. And to finish off - stamped and embossed my sentiment and mounted onto a white card with a blue layer.  I have used the layout at  CAS(E) this Sketch CTS#233 and the theme at Addicted to CAS - Wheels.  Thanks for taking a peek
