From far away a friendly light...

I just love this old stamp so it was sure to be used for a few challenges this week... Victorine Originals challnge #6 - Ahoy Landlubbers, also for Curtain Call Inspiration challenge - Surfs Up!. And I was inspired by the theme and colours over at Fusion Card challenge - Sand, Beach.

I stamped and coloured my image and then used the stitched rectangle die (inserted and part cut, then moved and cut the rest being careful to reverse it in the machine). Then simply layered it on coordinating coloured paper and to finish I added an anchor.  Thanks for taking a peek

 

Thinking of You

"So long between cards", but today I've enjoyed an afternoon in the 'craftavan' and made a card from my SIL who is very sick in hospital with undiagnosed health issues, lots of pain and she keeps on a brave face....this is for you Linda.
Some off the edge stamping and soft colouring and stamped sentiment...have you ever tried inking with colour (I used dark purple) and then using pearl gold embossing powder - great soft colours.

Surprise Party

Today I've finished off my card for the Curtain Call July challenge - Celebrate...it's their 3rd Anniversary so a big congratulations to the team.... time to party.  I am also making my card for the House Mouse and Friends challenge  HMFMC 119 - House Mouse and a Friend.  I love these little guys and thought this stamp would fit the challenge... I had to scrounge through my sentiment stamps and came up with these two that fitted with the image...I think anyway. Finished off the card with two more stamped balloons and added some threads for strings.  Thanks for taking a peek

Life is better with Flip Flops

First off this morning I am finishing a fun card I started yesterday..
I am posting to Curtain Call where the inspiration is FLIP FLOPS and to CAS-ual Fridays  CFC140 with a summer theme and to use Tan, White and one bright colour....mine is RED.
I simply stamped the palm trees on tan card and then the sentiment in red on white and arranged the layers. Then finished the card with some die cut sunnies...

Happy Birthday Bouquet

I'm away from my desk for a few weeks but I do manage to pack a crate of stamping gear, so today I have a CAS card using my Distress Inks to watercolour the Inspired by Stamping image for the Paper Players #241 challenge, also used the layout from CAS(E) this Sketch #119 and the theme at Curtain Call - Bouquet.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Wow this card came together for me so quickly after I found the roses designer paper which worked for me with the Curtain Call January 1 challenge - Smitten. This is a new blog challenge for me and I  love the colours, mine are a bit subtler but I like them and I've with this with the layout at Just Us Girls #222.
