Two Heart Cards....

Today I am happy to share my two cards using the same stamp for the Twofer Card challenge #2 - Hearts

This was really fun and challenging and I've used a very old heart stamp that hasn't seen the light of day for aaggges.
For my first card I stamped the image onto pink (Distress Oxide) water wash card and fussy cut the center heart, then restamped onto white card and fussy cut this and watercoloured the edges and eyelets of the 'lace', then glued them together with a little padding under the hear.   Then I decorated the floral area with a matching rose, ribbons, leaves and tiny punched flowers with pearl centers.
To finish I mounted my matching DP panel to white card cut with a zigzag die and added my stamped sentiment, with inked edges and tiny flower.  I am posting this card also to CAS Colours and Sketches #258 - colour palette,  and also to CAS-ual Fridays challenge CFC#192 - Hearts, hearts and more hearts.
For my second card I stamped the heart image on white card and fussy cut the center heart, then sponged this with Wilted Violet DOX - masking the floral area.... this I painted with DOX and added Dimensional Magic to give this a shine and lift (adding the DM to DOX - changes the colours a little). Then I lightly stamped script to my background panel and layered it onto white card on my purple card base.  To finish I added a gauzy ribbon to my heart and a stamped and embossed sentiment.  I am also posting this card to Watercooler Wednesday challenge WWC15 - Anything Goes, Feminine.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day

Live Life Out Loud

Here is another card I started on Saturday using Brushos to watercolour the clear embossed poppies from Inspired by Stamping Poppy set. The Always Playing with Paper challenge #46 have an Autumn theme so I am posting to this challenge.  CAS Colours and Sketches #146 have a similar colour theme - Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Tangerine Tango and also to the Simon Says Monday challenge - Wonderful Watercolours.  Thanks for taking a peek

Season's Greetings

So this afternoon Vikki suggested I try the challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches #135 .... which just so happens to be a double with both the colours and sketch as part of the challenge.  Well I did have a navy dove image stamped from my last challenge so thought to use it... some green colouring for his olive branch and two slashes of ribbon and I have an easy card.  Thanks for taking a peek

Friends are Treasures

A bright fresh "Friends" card from me this morning using the layout at CAS - Colours and Sketches #106.  A lovely simple layout, so when I chose the stamped sentiment the heart theme fell into place and I embossed the back panel with tiny heart folder and die cut a heart from my stash of shaving cream coloured card, the tiny bit of orange prompted me to use the bright glittery flag behind it.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Jingle Bells

Hi there once again today...I have been busy at my desk today.  For this card I used the layout at CAS - Colours and Sketches #100 - cheers for the team there on their one hundredth challenge. I also used the Merry Monday #135 inspirational photo - to include Christmas Bells on your project.  This is a pretty simple card where I have used a length of silver swirled gauzy ribbon and a teal coloured metallic strip that I ran through the Cuttlebug with a Christmas wordy folder.  Then I die cut my bells and dressed it was a bow and an embossed tag sentiment.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Happy Birthday

Oh dear I am out of my comfort zone with there being so much brown in this card, it's certainly different to what I imagined but I selected three similar colours to the CAS Colours & Sketches #88 palette and made the background again with Distress Inks and then found some designer paper to match for the lower strip.  I followed the layout at Freshly Made Sketches #150, added some lace trim, a couple of tags and some handmade flowers. Then to finish I stamped two sentiments. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Happy Birthday

Today I was inspired to make a round easel card as the challenge at CAS - Colours and Sketches #80 was to make a shaped card not square or rectangle. It's been ages since I made a round card and decided to use my newish Sizzix die I haven't yet used and then used it also to create the tags. I love soft green designer paper and found these two flowers I'd made in my stash and just finished off the card with a few scattered pearls. I'm very happy with the card and I think my friend will be too. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

With Love

Well what a change around with the weather here.....sunny lovely day yesterday, gloomy, rainy day today...I'm not complaining though as our state needs rain terribly - worst drought for many years.
A lovely fresh simple card for the CAS(E) this Sketch CTS #69 using the palette at Colours and Sketches  #66.  A medallion die cut centered over a embossed panel and then finished off with a simple tag and butterfly trim. I really like the simplicity of this card.  Hope you're week has started out well for you, thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Dear Friend

A double challenge #59 at CAS - Colours and Sketches this week.  I really like this colour combo and found it more challenging than I thought to get the shades right; but I'm quite happy with my finished card. The embossed background ties all the butterflies together.

Male Birthday

For the layout at CAS-Colours & Sketches #33 I've chosen to make a male birthday card - I've had the two pieces of split pea green card sitting on my desk for a while and when I found the Birthday sentiment in my pre-stamped drawer this week it just seemed to go with it perfectly - I like the colour combination.           Hope you've enjoyed your weekend and find time to create this week, thanks for taking a peek

50th Birthday

Cheers everyone on this fine Friday here in Yeppoon.  My sister is celebrating her 50th next week and we're off tomorrow to visit and make this a special day for her.
My card layout is using the Cardabilities #75 sketch
and the colours from CAS-colours and sketches#25.
On my blog cruising I noticed someone had made a beautiful butterfly by stamping on vellum so thought I'd give it a go too - I just used distress ink and layered it to give it a soft colour.
Thanks for taking a peek and have an enjoyable weekend

Happy Birthday die tag

Well I was going to say good morning but it's already afternoon - time flies when you're having fun or making cards....so I'm skyping with Vikki again and catching up on the latest news, just having an enjoyable Saturday afternoon.  Here's my card for the Retro Sketches rs#59 and I've used the colours for this weeks CAS Colours & Sketches #21 challenge and because I now have all my goodies unpacked I've used a BRAD (not seen one for 10 months) and a taffeta flower from my stash.  Thanks for taking a peek
