Trimming the Tree

Today I'm using the sketch at Fusion Card Challenge and have stamped up my only holly wreath for the Festive Friday Challenge #44. I stamped and embossed the wreath with green ink and coloured the holly in light green and add pearls for the berries and a red bow over the one on the image. Then embossed a matching green strip with a holly EF and found this lovely designer paper strip with sentiment to finish the card.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Merry Christmas

This morning I have made my first shaker card in years with a Christmas card for Festive Fridays #43 challenge...this lovely red and white photo for inspiration.  I have had this present stamp for a very long time and I suppose when I bought it thought it was wonderful, anyway then I found it very difficult to suit my style, so cutting out the middle and res-tamping it in reverse colours proved a cool idea for a shaker card with pearl white sequins inside.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Merry Christmas Door

This afternoon I have another Christmas card using the layout at CAS(E) this sketch #94 and the inspirational photo at Festive Friday challenge #41
First I  coloured the wreath with red and green embossing pens and clear embossed it, and used Distress Inks to colour in the holly, bow and berries. Then I used the scorepal to emboss lines on the white card to make it look like a paneled door.  I stamped the sentiment and hand drew a banner around it, fine cut it and mounted in on foam tape, added a ribbon bow and metallic button for door knob....I layered the door on woodgrain designer paper. Peace, Joy, Love

My Christmas card today is using the soft palette suggested at Crazy 4 Challenges #251  and the inspirational photo at Festive Fridays #40 (isn't it just gorgeous, soft and pink). I also used my lattice die for the first time so would like to post it to NBUS #2. I stamped the Joy and Love baubles and used polysparkle embossing powder to give them some sparkle, then just layered the oval die cut onto the lattice and two designer paper pieces. Finished off with a Peace die cut and a holly sprig decorated with a few pearls. Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Merry Christmas

I have a Christmas card this afternoon for Festive Friday challenge #39.
I have again used some designer paper and stamped my holly and pine border stamps to create the foliage background on which I mounted a simple sentiment embossed in red.  I lightly coloured the foliage with distress ink and finished to tag with some gems.

Have a Tree-mendous Christmas

My first card this fine drizzly Saturday afternoon is a Christmas card for the Festive Friday challenge 38. First off I thought of goodness these are definitely not my colours but I quickly picked out the elements of the photo prompt I thought I could use and my card came together nicely...I'm very please with this kind of modern take. I stamped the simple tree and snowflake repeatedly on kraft paper and made a three layered tag to carry the sentiment and finished off with a gem and bow.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Noel

Today I find myself making another Christmas card for the stash...I cut up an snowflake embossed sheet and layered the squares onto an off white background to give it some depth. I stamped up part of a House Mouse stamp to give me the candle, coloured it in with silver and made a little flame with some die cut left scraps then added some stamped pine cones when I mounted it in the corner. The Noel sentiment is part of an embossed sheet so I highlighted it also with silver mounted it on gold metallic flag and finished off the card with a snowflake and gem. I've made the card for Festive Friday FFC#36 which is predominantly white with lots of elements to chose. I'm also going to post it to Christmas Cards All Year Round - July they are asking for non traditional colours and at City Crafters week 221 the theme is Christmas in July.  Pop over to their blogs to check out some awesome cards. Wishing you a Merry Christmas

Four Christmas cards from me today for the Festive Friday inspirational photo challenge FFC#33
I decided to again use the 12x12 vintage Christmas card stack and cut up some more of their gorgeous old fashioned pictures to use on the cards. I did very minimal background stamping on the left and bottom card and used the sentiment from the sheets as well as the font suits the old prints.

We Wish You a Merry Christmas

How pretty is this candle  -  It's the inspiration for Festive Friday challenge FFC #28.  So as my candle card wasn't inspiring me I chose to concentrate on the pine cones and that was because I had bought these wooden ones in a pack after Christmas last year ....you know - thinking that they might come in handy....so I'm real pleased to have used them on this card..once again I am using the card sentiment base from the 12x12 pack, some lace, jute and a few pearls.  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Christmas Wishes

Isn't this just a beautiful snowflake ornament as inspiration this week at  Festive Friday FFC#27, so of course my card just had to have sparkly snowflakes die cut from glitter card and dressed with gems. The dp background and sentiment tag came as freebie with a magazine and I love the soft shades and for once I'm not scrounging through my offcuts for the right colour match. Sadly no stamping but I did ink the edges :-)  Thanks for taking a peek Robyn

Deck the Halls

Another new blog site with a Christmas challenge...Festive Fridays FFC#26 and an inspirational photo to challenge us.
I do love gingerbreads but chose to run with the holly for this card..  To created the background card I swiped versamark across my holly embossing folder, brayered some card stock to it and clear embossing it. Then sponged two green die inks over and polished off the excess ink on the embossed image. Then finished off the card with a stamped holly branch, watercoloured it and layered two die cut circles to display the holly and my sentiment. Some string and gems to finish.
