Christmas Wishes

Last swap for this year at Society of Stampaholics.. and my card went to Jo in UK.
I've used the colour palette, the sketch and friendship as my three elements on my card.
I stamped and embossed by ornaments in soft gold and sponged coloured them with DOX before fussy cutting them out and used foam tape to mount them to my white panel.  I dry embossed my white panel with a snowflake theme and layered it in red and golden yellow onto a purple card.  Then to finish I stamped and white embossed my sentiment on a vellum strip which I attached across the bottom of the card by folding it around to the back.  Thanks for taking a peek

Friend, Hello

My card for the October Society of Stampaholics Card Chain challenge went to Jerrie in US...
for my background panel I sponged two shade of DOX through a stencil and lightly spritzed with water.  Then I stamped my leaves using DOX and clear embossed before fussy cutting them out.  I stamped my sentiment in black and layered it on a green background and to finish added a die cut 'hello' coloured with the same DOXs  and added my leaves.  Thanks for taking a peek

Hello Friend

My card this past month for the Society of Stampaholics went just across the sea to Dawn in New Zealand.
I've used the colours and sketch as a base for my card - when I chose the pea green spritzed back panel I thought it was a bit bright and in your face, but I'm liking how it turned out. To my oval magenta die cut I added a stamped and watercoloured camellia image and an extra leaf which I attached with foam tape, and to finish added my stamped sentiment.  Thanks for taking a peek

May your day Sparkle

I chose to create a garden fairy card for my July swap card for the Society of Shopaholics Card Chain challenge and posted it off to Jeanne in the USA. I basically followed the layout and colour theme too.  I stamped and masked my floral garden across the bottom and using the flower masks positioned my fairy stamp as if she was sitting amongst the flowers.  I coloured the images with Brushos, and added some tiny stamped stars and glitter glue to the wings.  To finish I added some micro beads, a silver embossed stamped sentiment and a layer of peach to frame the panel.   Thanks for taking a peek.

a Smile is Contagious

My card for the June Card Chain Challenge went to Gail in Norway... hope she got a smile because this was a real tricky sketch for me. Used a triangle of background made with Brushos, a die cut doiley and  'smile' sentiment, added to my stamped sentiment. Thanks for taking a peek

Hello Friend

My card for the May Stampaholics Card Chain challenge went to Lorraine in the UK. I masked and stamped the Stamplorations flower three times on to designer paper that I had lightly painted with white gesso.  Then I used Distress Inks to colour the flowers using those suggested in the colour palette - only mine are a few shades darker. Then I layered with grey and pink onto a dark red card and finished with two stamped sentiments.  I am also posting to Stamplorations Never Ending Anything Goes.  Thanks for taking a peek

Hello

My monthly card for The Card Chain Challenge, for April was sent off to Marga in Spain, I do hope it has arrived by now.
It's a very simple card using the sketch and colours for this month.  I die cut the floral spray and then again with red to fill in some of the flowers, and coloured the tiny white pieces blue for the butterfly.  To finish I just added a sentiment and a few pearls.  Thanks for taking a peek.... and if you'd like to join in the card swap pop over to the blog and join in the fun.

Hello Friend

So we're into a new month - April already, and I am posting the card I sent to Denise in CA, USA, for the March card swap at The Card Chain Challenge.  I used the colour palette and fish theme for my card.... the background was created with the inked scrunched plastic wrap technique, then I stamped on a few fish and 'hello' and finished the card with a die cut 'friend'  Thanks for taking a peek

Best Wishes

My card for the February Card Chain challenge went all the way to ValeryAnne in England.  I tried to stick to both the colour palette and the layout sketch for my card. I have just started using my stash of Designer Papers again... there's so much of it and also those little paper flowers - I have jars of them too. I layered a few different colours and added micro beads to the centers. I added some thin ribbon under the flowers and mounted them onto two layers of card.  Finished off my square card with a stamped sentiment.  I enjoy making cards so it's nice to share them around the globe, if you'd like to sign up for the March swap pop over here!!  Thanks for taking a peek
