Merry Christmas

  • Using the circle stencil (from Cheap Craft shop) and using Distress Inks - Candied Apple, Blueprint sketch, Mermaid lagoon, Twisted citron, I blended the colours through different sizes.
  • Stamped the sentiment - Hero Arts Holiday Christmas Message and gold embossed
  • Used a gold gel pen to outline the baubles using the stencil also adding gold thread and hanger tops.
  • Die cut a frame from white card and backed this with light gold metallic paper
  • Trimmed the front panel to fit just inside the frame leaving a small edge of gold showing.

I started this card for the CAS Mix Up August challenge - Stamping through a Stencil and realised I'd made a card that would fit also with the CAS Christmas August challenge - Decorations
Thanks for visiting... have a Wonderful Creative weekend,   cheers

  5. Well, okay, then. I see you got out your big ol' hammer and NAILED both CAS challenges, Robyn! Your embossed text inside one of the baubles and your shading on the others, and the matting, I just can't stop staring! It's a winner in my book! Hugs, Darnell

  9. Wonderful! You must have a very steady hand to out line the circles with a gold pen. I would mess it all up. What a wonderful idea you had. I think the very first card I saved of yours was an embossed ornament card on mirror paper. I thought that card was outstanding too.
