Welcome to my desk this Wednesday - I'm here showing you what's happening in my little bit of the world as part of Julias WOYWW #294. If you'd like to join in and visit some blogs and desk from across the plant - please visit our hostess Julia to find out the details.
Can you see outside the window - it's all gloom, grey, overcast and rainy and I need the light on in my room - it's wonderful, been waiting for this rain to cool the place down for a week or more. My desk is pretty empty of creative activity, I've been writing my mum a letter today and putting together a pile of cards to send to the mother-in-law for her to use. You can see a card at the back from my stamping buddy Vikki and to the right a few cards I'm piecing together - had to use the paint tube to hold the papers down as I've had the fan on full blast, till the cool change came in - so now they're predicting thunderstorms, lightning, plenty of rain and flooding. And of course the Australian Tennis Open is on TV so I've been watching a few matches. Hope you're enjoying your week, thanks to all my visitors last week Cheers Robyn
Looks like you are set up for all events. Enjoy the tennis.

Nice to see you are getting some rain Robyn...let's hope it doesn't become too much! Love your tidy table too by the way...with lots of hints of creativity there.
ReplyDeleteHope you are enjoying the tennis - over here Wimbledon and rain always go hand in hand! I think it's lovely that you send your mother-in-law cards for her to use - what a thoughtful gesture. Thanks for stopping by my desk earlier, hope you have a good week, with no flooding!

I'm just doing my blog dash round all my favourites while the twinnies are doing some cutting and sticking 😃
ReplyDeleteIt's raining here today but it's really cold with it....my twinnies said its really soggy and I think that describes it well 😄

I always need the light on when crafting. That's the downside to a north facing room. Horace @ no. 45
ReplyDeleteNice to see your desk and your cards already made and those still to get done.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog earlier.
Happy WOYWW

Ah finally you have got the cool change isn't it nice when it arrives. We have hot days here then it is cool again, I suppose I should feel blessed for the reprieve but honestly I really want some summer I really love the heat. Not much else done in the garden due to working etc. The cricket has been on here in Melbourne also the tennis but you have been watching that I see. Have a wonderful week enjoy the cool break.

Can I offer you some of my rain and snow? It has been so cold here in UK, I am thinking I might pretend to be ill for a bit longer so I can stay in bed in the warm!!! lol
ReplyDeleteHave a good week and enjoy the tennis.

Ohhh at last I've found somewhere I can come and warm up a bit. Had to smile at you longing for rain to cool down, we have snow and cold here in the UK today and I for one am longing for the summer. Enjoy the tennis.

It looks like you might need the new light I just purchased on amazon. My desk was way to dark (being in a closet and all) and so I got a sunlight hobby task light. It made a big difference! Happy WOYWW :) Shel#71
ReplyDeleteWe very often hope for rain too, so hard to be creative in the heat.
ReplyDeleteTake care

It is always funny, reading about people being glad about rain and cooling down, when we are sitting here close to the fireplace to get some warmth :-) This is what I like about this blog hop. Oh, enjoy tennis!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your earlier visit!

yay for rain :) wish it did come with better lighting though. ~Stacy #75
ReplyDeleteI love gloomy days the best. They give me an excuse to hole up in my craft room and create!
ReplyDeleteIt has been very cold here but I don't really mind. To be honest I love all the seasons for different reasons. I think it's lovely that you make cards for your M.I.L. to use. I sometimes wonder if my Mum really likes the cards I send her! Hugs Anne x #37
ReplyDeleteI love that your desk faces the window so you can peek outside for inspiration.
ReplyDeleteYou've got lots of goodies there on your desk. Adore your little bear. :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it just great to be indoors on a rainy day and playing at our desks!
ReplyDeleteSo glad it's cooled down a bit.Must be draining in the Wet!

It's very cold where we are at the moment and snowing too. I always find rain tends to make me sad but crafting helps to improve the mood so have a good crafty week, Angela x 28
ReplyDeleteI can hear the relief from here! That relaxing feeling when the rain takes the heat out of the atmosphere is an odd thing to describe but we all know how it feels! So. it's a good time to get on and craft - looks like your keeping busy!
ReplyDeleteHugs, LLJ 25 xx
