Hello from sunny Queensland, desk peeper.....yes it's Wednesday and I'm joining in Julias group of crafty individuals who share photos of their latest activities....WOYWW #303.
My desk today is displaying my "red/pink" drawer of scraps as I'm making a patchwork card and thought pink would be good. Below is the finished card and as I found some many scraps I made another base for later. The only other not usual thing on the desk, is the plastic bag on the right full of Mothers' Day cards I'm sending off tomorrow for the Aussie Troops to use (Australia - Mothers day is May 10). My glass of water is missing in the photo but it is there now...not doing too badly with the 'drink more water' thing. Also you can see just peeping out under my desk is a foot massager and on the right my very dirty clean everything towel.
Thanks for visiting, I'm off to snoop and few desks now, Cheers Robyn
Two lovely birthday cards Robyn, happy woyww Jill #26
ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant way of using up scraps of cards....really love the results.
ReplyDeleteNo early morning twinnie fun for me today as I'm recovering from a chesty cold caught from them last week so I'm able to have a leisurely snoop round the Wednesday desks :-)
Hugs,

That card and the second background are lovely, Robyn. Well done - a great way of using little pieces of paper and card.
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

What fun Robyn..love how these turned out. Great use of scraps..which I've almost organized by colors.
ReplyDeleteHave a fun week #40
Your craftsmanship in those paper quilts is amazing. I also like the die of sorting your scraps by colors, since I currently just stash them all in a folder. Happy WOYWW! #44
ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant idea to use up your scraps! I may purloin it.
ReplyDeleteTo sit with lots of backgrounds and no 'bits' hanging around .... I can dream!
Have a good week

PS I'm thinking of Shoshi today who's operation has been postponed yet again! I can't imagine how she must be feeling!
Wow what a fantastic way to use up scraps will give this a go.

Love the patchwork card..and what a great way to use up scraps. That's a win win situation, isn't it? I'm sure the cards will be very well received on Mothers Day :-)

This is such fun, peaking into everyone's sacred space. Love your scrap drawer. I have something similar, but right now I am using different sorting criteria.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, drop on by. Happy WOYWW Pat #63
A great way to use up your bits and pieces. Thanks for visiting and Happy WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteLovely cards Robyn and that's a great idea to organise the waste bits into colour boxes.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and happy woyww, Angela x 28
Hi Robyn... I like your patchwork card with all the different angles..... do you have similar boxes for other colours too. well done on making cards for the troops.
ReplyDeleteWe have just had mothers day here I had some lovely flowers and cards from my 3 daughters.
I have a wipe everything towel in my craft room.... don't know what I would do with out it sometimes.
have a good week

That card and spare background are gorgeous. That would sure take a lot of patience but well worth it. Good to see you have an icky towel as well.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week,

Robyn, your pink patchwork paper is awesome - I thought it was printed paper at first glance! What an ace idea. As for the "drink more water" business, after I have my ileostomy, I am going to have to drink at least 2 litres of water a day to prevent dehydration! You will never see me without my bottle lol!! Thanks for your lovely supportive comment - I am feeling better now about postponement #2 - there's nothing to be done about it so we've just got to be patient. Not having a date is very tedious because of not being able to plan things, but I am hoping I'll hear something by the end of the week, and best case scenario is that I will go in next week, but nothing is certain yet. I just want it over and done with now.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW,

How awesome to have all your scraps organized by color. I should really do that, but it might take away from my making messes time. ;) Oh, and how sweet of you to send those cards to the troops.
ReplyDeleteHi Robyn,
ReplyDeleteYour pink patchwork card turned out beautifully! I wish my scraps were as well organised as yours :)
Have a good week.
Love all the pinks and reds! Keep drinking the water, it all helps. I'm only allowed 500ml a day on dialysis!!! Would love more !! Happy WOYWW!! Karen x #70
ReplyDeleteWow, I love your patchwork cards. They're fantastic! Thanks for coming to visit my desk this Wednesday too, it was nice to see you! As you're in Queensland, have you ever been to a Floral Punch Craft workshop? I think Queensland do have them... an artist and crafter called Leonie Em created the process and has issued nine books (at least) on the subject. I'm practicing in the hope of qualifying to teach one day. :)

Ooh! Love the patchwork cards. You were right to make them pink. They came out very lovely. Your pink and red scrap drawer makes me jealous. I have TWO containers of pink and red. One is the solid scraps and one is the patterned ones.... would love to get enough used up to only have to have one container. Maybe I should start making patchwork cards like you! The cats and I thank you for your visit to our workdesk earlier this week. Judy #64
