WOYWW, Week 321
Another Wednesday rolls around and it's time to share a photo of my craft desk... what for you may ask... well over at our hostess Julia's blog you can read all about and join in - it's fun and addictive and you just never know who you might meet, what might inspire you or realize you're not the only person who collects more than they can use, or makes huge messes and often spends hours musing over a simple piece of card or material.Anyway here's make desk this afternoon... I have a number of WIPs - that pile there at the back left, one finished card standing ready for a photo - then the rest of the desk bears the materials I'm using to create another 'C' card. Below is a photo of my paper storage system - two 10 drawer 12x12 units - the left set holds all the scrap offcuts and the right the full 12x12 card stock... I just had a clean up in another 3 dreawer set that no holds my white and cream and water color card - and in doing so found even more plain coloured card to fill the units.... NO NO NO more card stock, especially green.
On the moving front, I have packed and itemized 20 boxes, so I am getting there.
Hope each of you has had an exciting and hopefully crafty week - I know OS are enjoying mid year school break. Thanks to everyone who passed by my desk last week... Cheers
wooo!! love your paper trays! your desk shows great signs of productivity, too! have a great week. Helen 5
ReplyDeleteWell done on all the packing and sorting! Isn't it amazing what turns up that you'd forgotten? I do that with fabric all the time! Keep up the good work :-)

Hi Robyn. It sounds like your packing is going well. I love the thought that you reward your efforts with some crafting.....I bet you're finding all sorts of long lost items as you pack. :-)

I love your paper storage- I always buybgreen card stock too ha ha - have a great week x soojay 27
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to have such great paper storage. Mine sits in slots on a shelf inside a cabinet and it's dark and forgotten most of the time!
ReplyDeleteGlenda #31
All so organised Robyn - I wish I was, then I might be able to find stuff after my move! x Jo
ReplyDeleteWow! So many ink pads!
ReplyDeleteSounds like the packing is going well. As long as you write on the box what's in it, you can't go wrong. I have moved country 4x and it is sometimes months until I get to unpack the boxes, lol.
I love your 12x12 paper storage. So handy.
Hope all goes well with the move and the packing,
have a good week,

Your cardstock organising is a sight to behold, and easily accessed which makes it perfect. I always seem to buy blue cardstock.... we must have an inbuilt preference for a colour. Quite taken with your collection of inks and can see from your lovely cards that get lots of use. When you can pop up a pic of your watercolours. All the best with your packing and have a lovely week.

I take comfort in knowing that someone else has a desk that looks like mine. Love your cart for your cs.
ReplyDeleteAll that packing and still making Christmas cards. You are busy. I like the look of all those little inkpads. Good luck with the packing and enjoy your week. Barb#33 xx
ReplyDeleteLovely desky share Robyn, and well storage..
ReplyDeleteThat and buying the wrong thing of something is the bane of a crafters life isn't it??

Hi Robyn,it's amazing what you find that you'd forgotten about when tidying and sorting, isn't it? Shocking too, sometimes. Love the baubles card I can see, and the standing up one, gorgeous colours. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #7 xx
ReplyDeleteHopefully you are right and this will be the last move. and it's cool that you still have things that you can play with as you are packing. I had to laugh about the no more green I am guilty of picking up sheets of every color of that I see... ( that makes it hard when you need a piece of say purple and you own two shades of that haha) that is going to be so much nicer when you unpack knowing what is in the box before you open it. ~Stacy #48
ReplyDeleteThat is some serious paper storage (and a serious amount of paper too!). I am now yearning for a set of those drawers! You look fantastically organised and isn't is great finding stash you forgot you had! Hope you have a great week,
ReplyDeleteDiana #49

What an organised desk. Also looks nice and deep for working on... Mine is the narrowest desk (although I currently have an issue of not being able to see it under the mess)!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the packing and well done on the C Card!
Happy WOYWW!

Hi Robyn, when is the move going to take place? I cannot envisage my packing my craft room up, think I will have to stay here forever.
ReplyDeleteNice storage for your cardstock and a good idea to have the scraps alongside. Love the stands for your cards at the back of your desk, what a great way to have them on show - how many "C" cards now?
Hugs, Neet 25 xx

An incredibly pretty, and insanely sensible way to store plain card and its scraps.......no wonder your table is never cluttered with CR++! Imfull of admiration for your packing and planning...and a bit concerned. Do you have enough ink pads?
ReplyDeleteHi Robyn
ReplyDeleteLove the paper sorting trays. That looks very efficient! I hope the packing up is going smoothly and not too stressful.
I am loving those Brilliance inks. I already had some full size pads but now I have "lots" of colours with the mini ones. Maybe I can actually finish something to show next week :)
Super busy you are this week so many inks to choose from a beatific rainbow of colours happy late WOYWW hugs Nikki 8
