The Sweet Stop challenge, the Play Date Cafe colour challenge

Morning all.....nervous energy this week as Friday is fast approaching and I'll be away from my cards for four weeks as our special daughter gets married...so exciting.
So on the weekend I started putting this card together using the Sweet Stop layout SSS149 and the colours from Play Date Cafe PDCC122- I found these colours really striking but a challenge. Thanks for taking a peek.

Mojo 231 and Lily Pad Card Chain challenges

I did rummage through my card stock to pick the colours for this card during the week for the Lily Pad Card Chain challenge for March and have used the sketch from MojoMonday challenge 231. I really like the way the bird stamp from Artistic Outpost has stamped up and I can see it become a favourite.

Wedding Card

Very happy to be back at my desk this Saturday - with my stamping friend Vikki. I am off next Friday to the east coast to help my daughter with the last arrangements for her wedding at Easter (April 7)....so I'm all excited and until now anxious because I had to make them a wedding card.....biggest smiles now and much thanks to Sarita at Little Princess Cards for her stunning work and inspiration...I'll be visiting her blog lots more I can see. Now off to try my hand at another challenge...thanks for taking a peek.

Wedding Anniversary, Our Creative Corner

Hi there everyone this week....unfortunately I wasn't at my desk this past weekend and missed stamping with my friend Vikki - had to make a quick trip to see my folks as dad isn't too well. We're all hoping he will be around for their 60th wedding anniversary coming up mid March.  So quickly on Friday before I flew down to see them I made two cards - one for each as dad lives in a nursing home - he's 83 in April. He tells mum very often he loves her and needs a hug and kiss......we should all hug our loved ones often as you just never know what tomorrow will bring. That's precisely why I went - I would rather give hugs and attention while they're alive than attend a funeral.
PS ...now on some after thought I'd like to share these cards with the Our Creative Corner challenge - Making Melody.....and I think that my parents 60th is a true reason to celebrate - All You Need Is Love by John Lennon.  Thanks for taking a peek.
