Our Beautiful World

WOW don't the weeks pass by in a we are for Week 49 at Our Beautiful World and the theme suggested by Milagros is
When I think about TEXTURE it can be interpreted many ways...
and I suppose it first brings to mind the word Rough but the opposite - Smooth also applies.
And it can be applied to most aspects in our lives - our physical surroundings, in food, music and art.
So I've just tried to capture some Texture which I find around me in my life.
Here I have some items within my home...the quilt and pillows on our guests bed.
Trays I use from Papua New Guinea.
A waste bin and small tray - cinnamon coils set in resin...smells delightful, in the bathroom.

I love fabric and wool and here are a couple of toddler hats I've made - red and white crocheted and green knitted.

My addiction at present is making greeting cards and there is texture involved everywhere with this craft.  Here are three sheets I've embossed using equipment specially designed for card making.

Here are two example of Flocked paper - you know that raised velvety finish.
And of course outdoors Texture is to be found everywhere...
I especially love the varieties of bark and  these two are found in our front yard.

And of course leafy plants - I love this big green and white leaf.
Thank you for taking a peek at my Texture photos and we would love for you to join in the fun and share photos you may have...Pop over to Our Beautiful World to see the other team members photos and to find out how to join in.  Cheers and have a great week Robyn
