Our Beautiful World

- oh can't you just see all the glorious colours and fallen leaves. I have lived in the tropics for 20+ years and so you don't get the four season and this wonderful experience, so my mum used to send me autumn leaves in her letters. So my collection of Autumn photos is limited and I found these few from our trip to the UK. We don't get squirrels in Australia either so seeing this one so close in the Kensington Gardens was real treat for mum and me.
Kensington Gardens - mum with her much younger cousin Ann who is British and lives in London
In Scotland the reles showed us the sights too....
Here is the Meikleour Beech Hedge, an historical feature located on the Perth-Blaigowrie Road in Perthshire...it was planted around 1745 is 580 yards long, and over 100 feet high and is recorded as the tallest hedge in the world

I found this beautiful little bridge in Scotland winding it's way through the russet trees...gorgeous.
Thanks for visiting, please leave a comment and pop over to the other team members blogs to see their lovely photos, Cheers Robyn

  4. Hi Robyn, what a lovely post. I found you on Kay's blog, 505whimsygirl. Came over to visit and delighted that I did. My budget does not allow for any trips that would require a passport, so I travel locally and do my dream traveling through blogging. I also enjoy card making, I don't do it as much as I use to, but when Christmas gets closer, I start getting excited about making a few cards, for those special people on my card list. Well, happy to meet you . . . I'll be back again, and please come visit my blog. I would love to have you as a follower, too.

  5. Great photos there Robyn. I too love autumn in Blighty and like nothing more than walking through our forest behind the cottage looking at the fallen leaves. Our recent trip to New England showed up some awesome colours.

  10. Beautiful Autumn shots and you even got a squirrel! We have red squirrels here in the Netherlands but they are so shy, it's hard to take a photo of them. Not sure if I could live in a country without autumns though, it's my favourite season of the year. So wonderful of your mom to send you the signs of autumn in letters, such a wonderful idea! Hugs, Wendy
