Happy Friday Smiles everyone - this week we are visiting our kids and staying at our home in Townsville where our son lives...it's hot and humid. I'm always eager to visit and catch up with gorgeous GD Sophie - here she is eating watermelon for the first time (she has a thing about bibs at the moment and is wearing 5 in the pic)
...And then there's our garden. It's all very green and lush, not too many flowers in bloom but I wanted to share these six photos..
This is our stand of banana trees
And these are the bunches of bananas coming on....
ONE
TWO
THREE (this has just newly popped out this week)
FOUR
FIVE
That is an awful lot of bananas....so my smile is more of a smirk.
We usually trim out the saplings so only one bears fruit at a time...seems like my dehydrating machine will be working overtime in a few weeks.
Now this is our portable spa...bought it with us this trip and spent the morning, laying some sand, inflating and filling it up, so we can have a dip to cool off (I'm here for 4 weeks). I suppose the bit that has me smiling this week is that now I have to fit into my swimsuit....mmmm
Do you have a smile to share, pop over to Annies blog week 98 and join in the fun and visit the other folk to what has them smiling this week.
And as there will not be a post for next Friday due to Christmas....I want to wish everyone the very very best for a wonderful Christmas with your families - have a fabulous, relaxing and fun day I now we will be... HUGS Robyn
Hi Robyn. Your post really made me chuckle this week. Why? I hear you say....my hubby had been given an offer from Tesco to have our shopping delivered and they were giving us £15 as a Christmas treat. He ticked all the boxes and it was delivered on time as planned but in the boxes came 5 large bags of bananas :-) He had thought he'd ordered 5 bananas but had clicked in the wrong box!! We had a good giggle about it and happily shared them around the family.....I guess you just might have to share yours around too :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing your smiles over the last year...it really does make the world a happier place. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and 2015 comes with all you wish for yourselves.
Hugs,
Annie x

forgot to say, cute photo from Sophie and the banana tree looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteHi Robyn, I can't see the word Townsville without thinking of a superhero ... not sure why but that name reminds me of all the comics I read as a child. Five bibs ... Sophie sure is keen to stay clean :) I'm so envious of your banana trees. have a banana for breakfast most mornings so I'd really love it if we could grow them here in Scotland but it's much too cold - love the photos though :) I hope you have a wonderful Christmas with your family and that you find much to smile about during the festivities. Elizabeth xx
ReplyDeleteI do love to read how others spend their time, especially at Christmas. I am sure you will have a lovely time with little Sophie. The spa looks wonderful. I am very jealous of all those bananas. We have trees from that family in our yard, but I have not seen any bananas growing here. Kate x
