My card today is in celebration of Darnell's 5 Years of Blogging - this lady is just extraordinary and I admire her greatly - never met but I can sense that she is a kind, helpful and giving person...she encourages us all in card making land to not forget those items we buy and to dig them out and use them - it certainly has encouraged me. She always makes time to drop by other bloggers sites and leave wonderful comments,,,,, THANK YOU DARNELL - You're a Gem and Congratulations.
To celebrate she is hosting one of her famous NBUS challenges (#8) and this time has added a few options.... this week along with using our Never Before Used Stuff we can use our coloured pencils of kraft coloured card.
I stamped my NBUS lilies with Distress Ink and used my very old Derwents to colour them in.... lot of fun and I did enjoy myself. Then I used some coordinating colour layers to frame my image and added a stamped sentiment. Thanks for taking a peek

ReplyDeleteOh, my! Your card is just lovely with the lily colored flowers on kraft...so pretty! Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a sweet comment!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, Robyn, thank you so much for your wonderful compliments! I so appreciate your support and encouragement and I'm going to print your post to inspire me every day! Mwah!
ReplyDeleteSecond, wow, what a great choice for a cp/k technique! I have (no kidding) FIVE different calla lily stamps. I love the elegance of them and the serenity of them for a sympathy card, and how they fill a card front so nicely. BUT, coloring them has always been a challenge for me. It never occurred to me to use my white cp on kraft like this and now I'm jazzed to see how beautiful they look! Thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #8 and for joining in the optional theme! Hugs, Darnell
Hi Robyn! My your card is stunning!! I just love those lilies ... I've never done that technique and don't even own proper colouring pencils... But I have met Darnell and she's wonderful! Good luck with the challenge! Sending you smiles my friend!
