Full Moon
Mid month and time for a reminder to join in the challenge at CAS Watercolour -- this month the theme is Night Sky
We'd love for you to share you creative watercoloring with the team - there's lot of inspiration on the blog so pop over and check out the fabulous DT cards.
We recently had a Super full moon here in Australia and that inspired me to try and create a full moon rising over the ocean.
First I masked off a rectangle on white card and then I die cut a circle from the sticky part of a Post-it note and used that as a mask for my moon while I watercoloured in the sky and ocean in different shades of blue Distress Ink. Then using Twinkling H2Os in a mix of white and yellow I coloured in the moon and some reflections. I used white gel pen to add some stars and water movement.
Trimmed the card to leave a white border and attached to a dark blue panel front. This looked a bit sad so I added some black die cut leaves as a silhouette on the night sky.
Thanks for stopping by my blog --- have a Happy Day and stay safe
Card Recipe
