Friday Smiles

Today I can share a few more photos of the house extensions happening this week which are definitely bringing smiles to me.  You can see in the first photo
Our back deck is being extended and over to the right the tall poles are an extension to included a bedroom, study and ensuite.

Here  we have the bearers for the floor on the side extension - we are lengthening our lounge and converting the second bedroom into a main bedroom

And here is a funny I found on FB... for you sewing ladies.
Hope you've had a wonderful week with some special happiness, pop on over to Annies blog and share.....Thanks for stopping by

  2. Oooo how exciting for you to see those poles so you have an idea of the size of your extension. I can never quite grasp the diagrams to finished layout.
    Liking your funny.
    Have a great weekend.

  5. Hi Robyn, your cartoon made me laugh out so loud it got DH interested ... he likes the idea and may make the same request :) It's so interesting to watch your extension progressing. The building materials look so different from those used here in Scotland. Have a great weekend. Elizabeth xx

  7. That cartoon got me giggling. One can substitute the fabric store for anything else like scrapbook store or whatever else we are addicted to.
I feel your excitement at the progress of your extension. It's going to be huge! Fabulous! (And you are getting an ensuite which is wonderful I can tell you!)
I hope you will get many more things to smile about,
    Have a good week,
    Lisca

  8. Hi Robyn. Wow, you are really expanding your home. How exciting! Your grass looks like it would welcome my toes!! The funny really gave me a chuckle. He'd be the most popular man at the fabric store!

  9. Great funny Robyn...thanks for sharing! I am loving reading about your extensions...so exciting...thanks for sharing, and I'm happy to see your lawn is green! We actually got very heavy rain fall here last week and thankfully everything is starting to green up here as well. Have just harvested more fruit...Green Gage Plums and have trees full of apples, nectarines and walnuts...exciting!

  13. Your 'funny' really made me laugh today. The house extension looks exciting. That's quite a major build. I hope the actual work won't be a too traumatic time for you, and the end result will be worth it.(Sorry I am nearly a week late visiting. Just getting back on track after my holiday and visitors).
