here we've had to dig out the warm clothes as the temp drops to the low teens (low 50sF) -
that's quite cold for us and we've shut the windows too and we don't heating to warm up the house..
so that's nice weather to do some crocheting..
here are my two latest squares for the Moogly event.
Now here is my card for the CAS Stencil challenge this month - Layered Stencilling
The big butterfly stencil was first attached to white card and blended over with Hickory smoke Distress Oxide.. then I searched out a flourish stencil to add some swirls to the wings. I positioned this stencil under the butterfly one so I wouldn't get ink outside the image... I used red and green inks and flipped the stencil to do the second wing and the colours have really softened since.
It was a bit tricky then to make a card with this large image, so I just framed it with lime green card and a slash of red to pull it all together.
Thanks for stopping by my blog --- have a Happy Day and stay safe.

ReplyDeleteA stunning card Robyn - loving you choice of colours.
ReplyDeleteYour crochet squares are amazing - again your colours are fabulous, but the designs are what caught my eye!
We had four frosts in a row last week, getting down to -3.6 oC on the last morning, but the sunny days afterwards were lovely. Now we have some much needed rain, and it has warmed up somewhat. (I am in N.Z.)
Stay safe
Blessings
