The monthly theme at
Twofer Card Challenge #27 - is FLOWERS
and right now we could all do with a bunch of flowers to brighten our days....
and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to use my favourite stamp
For my first card I inked the stamp with Festive berries Distress Ink and using the Misti stamped the image, a couple of times to get a good coverage. I used coloured pencils to add depth and details and shading to the background (did you ever used blotting paper - as a student, to scribble colour onto and then lightly blend colour over the background). To finish I die cut a square frame and attached these to a square red card, then added the stamped and white emboss sentiment on a strip of black card.
For the second card I stamped the image in the Misti with Antique linen Distress Ink and then gave the flowers a light wash using Twinkling H2Os. Then with the pencils I added depth and details. I wasn't happy with the layout so I trimmed the panel and fussy cut the one flower. I stamped and silver embossed the sentiment on the panel then chose a lavender blue card layer to frame it onto a soft purple background and arranged the cut flower in the corner.
I am playing along with Twofer Card challenge #27 - Flowers .... The Flower Challenge #44 - Monochrome with my red card ..... AND .... The Rainbow Card challenge for May - Vivaciously Violet with my purple card.
Thanks for stopping by my blog --- have a Happy Day and stay safe
