This rather long floral die has stitched vertical edges but not on the top and bottom,,, so I die cut it from white card and trimmed it to fit a card... then using a smooched background (rescued from the Distress Inks technique I used last week) behind to show off the design and finished the card with a gold embossed sentiment....
As it is the second Monday of the month with
Darnell's IDEAS IDEAS prompt - it is Die/Die Cuts week
I have also been playing around with the Bokeh technique being the focus ofThe Group of Seven Cardmakers for this month.
Two beautiful cards Robyn - I had never thought to cut an image out of a frame. It certainly changes the look of the image and 'stretches' the ways to use the die.

These are both beautiful and yet so different. Very clever use of that lovely die xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous die and you've used it so perfectly on these two cards, Robyn. LOVE the gorgeous, colourful background of your first card. Looks amazing with all the white space to show it off. And great work with the bokeh technique. Another lovely background to show off that gorgeous die-cut. Thanks again for sharing your card with us at Gof7. :) Love, Loll
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to get two cards out of your die cut Robyn! The first is so bright and colorful and your bokeh is beautiful over the blues! thanks for sharing another card with the G07! Julia xx
ReplyDeleteSorry to be so late again, Robyn! The days literally are whooshing by while I seem to be standing still! These two creations are beautiful! It's wonderful you were able to make another cool card with more of your smooching in these bright and pretty colors! And your Bokeh in shades of blue with a simple white die-cut flower is brilliant! Thank you for playing along with my I.D.E.A.S. again! I'm delighted you are finding it useful and fun!📌 Hugs, Darnell
