Of course when your mum turns 95 you have to make a Special Birthday Card - and she loved it.
A friend loaned me her gorgeous floral 3D embossing folder and I teamed it with a couple of die cut flowers and sentiment.
I'm joining Just Add Ink Challenge #774 - Stencils or Dies
and
Darnell's IDEAS prompt - week 3 = Embossing
Thanks for stopping by my blog --- have a wonderful weekend, Cheers Robyn
Good to find some time this morning to put together a card inspired by this month's technique over at
Group of Cardmakers... Textured Tissue Paper with Dry Embossing,
and to find my mojo wasn't still on holiday - we've just returned from a trip south to celebrate my mums 95th birthday - catching up with family and friends too -- an awful lot of chatting and laughs at memories ---- but oh is so good to be home.
... and it's a relief to have enough cards for this year and to be organised enough and be sending off my OS ones.
Two more cards similar to my last post but with a simple stitched die cut circle as a frame... I die cut the flower and foliaged and watercoloured them with Distress Inks... finished of with a lovely 'Joy' sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by my blog... I'm having a few weeks off to visit with my mum to celebrate her 95th birthday... enjoy your day, Cheers Robyn
So I'm joining the fun for the October Rudolph Days challenge
and I'm still following along with Darnells IDEAS prompt which is 'S' = Stencils
A couple more cards I put together --- while I join in with the
Group of Cardmarkers technique this month - Inlaid Diecutting....
and as I try to do each week - join Darnell with her
IDEAS prompt - this week 'A' = Anything Goes.
So I'm joining in the fun at
Jingle Belles and a Pink themed challenge
and as it's the third week with
Darnell's IDEAS prompt - it's 'E' = Embossing
First two 'PINK' cards.... die cut and embossed the ornament in different metallic pink card and used the same patterned paper to create the background and then glitter gold embossed the sentiments.
I've been inspired by Jo and guest designer Loll over at Christmas Kickstart challenge #103 with a theme of Snow Alert
Lots of cards with a blue theme made today and more in the process... because yes I'm like others - way behind with my card making.... and those patterned papers do come in handy to make lovely backgrounds.
Used the same piece on my first two cards and a die cut house piece where I added gold card behind the windows and a bigger snow slope to stamp on my sentiments. I tried adding snow to the roofs on the second card... but I don't think it worked too well - never mind.
Just perfect for the Just Add Ink challenge #771 -- choose two or more: so I selected Plants, Patterned Paper and even some Plaid ribbon on the second one.
I have a smile on my face and satisfaction that I've been busy today creating some more Christmas cards - feels good.
I played around with my cardboard toilet rolls and made some more ornament cards... these are so fun and easy... then I grabbed a paper cup and made some larger ornaments.... the Distress Ink moves and pools and I try not to be too finicking where I pull the colours.
It's week 1 for Darnells IDEAS prompt I = Ink
Thanks for stopping by my blog.... have a wonderful day and hope you've been inspired, Cheers Robyn
