Watercolouring with Distress Oxide inks

Hello and thanks for stopping by my blog...   today I've 3 cards to share using a quick and easy watercolour technique....

.....you simply ink your stamp with Distress Oxide inks, stamp it, and then with a wet brush pull the colours from the stamped outline.... and these cards fit perfectly with

Darnell's IDEAS weekly prompt... 'I' = Inks/Colour Mediums

A floral birthday card - stamped and watercoloured, die cut with oval shapes and attached to a dry embossed card - finished with a stamped and white embossed sentiment.

Two Christmas cards featuring Holly sprigs and stamped embossed sentiments

Have a wonderful day, Cheers Robyn

  2. Beautiful cards. I have not tried this. Great idea to pull colours from a DOX outline. Those inks are so very water soluable (more than DIs) and it makes sense that they would release a lot of colour. I will definitely give this a try! Thanks Robyn! xx

  3. Aaah, I love, love, love Christmas holly and your cards are a tribute to holly in such a beautiful way, Robyn! Perfection! I also love the flower design! I need to go look and see what outline stamps I have so I can try this fun idea. Thank you for the inspiration and for linking to this week's I.D.E.A.S. gallery to motivate others! Hugs, Darnell
