Today I am back in Vikki's craft room with plans for a card making day where we can bounce ideas off each other.
I have finished off this card I started late yesterday for the Stamplorations CASEplorations April challenge and have chosen Kimberleys card to CASE with a bit of influence from Shery's card
I stamped and masked the row of butterflies and then sprayed them with Magical Mica mist in an Orange - it has a lovely golden sparkle (that doesn't show too well in the photo). That didn't work to well as the mist seeped under the masks so I had partially coloured butterflies. I flicked a few droplets of water over the orange and part coloured the butterflies. Then I stamped a butterfly on card and coloured it with Distress Ink and when dry gave it a light spray of orange mist and added some Dimensional Magic and white gel pen to highlight a few wing parts. Stamped on the sentiment and used foam tape to mount the butterfly.
I am also posting to CAS.ology week 144 where the theme is "Flight"
Thanks for taking a peek.
This is a really nice card Robyn...love the orange and butterflies are always fun to use.
ReplyDeleteAnother great card Robyn. I too love butterflies and I really like your background.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! Such lovely colours!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, Robyn! I really like how the colour seeped under the masks (I love partial colouring!). I like how the texture of the card shows through on the stamped butterflies too. Thanks for playing along at STAMPlorations and The Mixed Media Card Challenge!
ReplyDeleteWhat a joy. Butterflies are always good, but I love your non-typical color combo. Having the one pop off the paper is a great idea and your sentiment is gorgeous. Glad to see you in the CASEplorations and MMCC galleries.
ReplyDeleteRobyn, that background piece is beautiful, and the butterflies are so wonderfully colored! So glad you joined in the fun at CASology this week!
ReplyDeletebeautiful card, great background!
ReplyDeleteYour card is absolutely delightful, Robyn!!! Thanks for joining us at CASology this week! Hugs, May
ReplyDeleteLove how you combined both cards for your CASE and how you coloured only one of your butterflies fully and picked out different bits to colour in the others. Thanks for joining us in the Playground over at STAMPlorations. Good Luck!
