Happy Birthday

This month they are enjoying 2nd Birthday celebrations over at CAS Watercolour - congrats to Bonnie, Loll and the team...
...... and this month there is a colour challenge - use Orange, Green and Brown on your car.
For my card I have chosen to use a butterfly - I used markers to colour the stamp and then after stamping on cream card, I cut out the image and added a touch more colour with Distress Inks and markers.  My watercolour element is the foliage - used the smooching technique in different greens of Distress Inks and then die cut two different sprigs.  For my front panel I cut my cream card down and ran it through the Cuttlebug with a stitched die and a tan mat to give an embossed effect, then rounded off the corners of the panel and card.  To finish I stamped my sentiment in brown ink and clear embossed it and then arranged my pieces.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy your day.

  1. BEAUTIFUL card Robyn! Your butterfly is just GORGEOUS and it almost looks water colored...so pretty! And your water colored sprigs in the background are the perfect touch...so beautiful but yet they let the lovely butterfly take center stage! Wonderful take on our color challenge Robyn! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour!! :0)

  2. Beautiful design Robyn! Love how you've used the colours from the challenge. Your butterfly is gorgeous on top of the watercolour green foliage. Your subtle debossed framing add a special detail, along with rounding the corners. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour! xx

  3. What a beautiful card Robyn! I love those watercolored stems and that beautiful butterfly. It is so gorgeous in the color combo and I'm loving it. I'm also loving the round corners of your card, I never think to do that and should. Wonderful CAS card! Thanks for joining CAS Watercolour! Hugs, Brenda
