Hello again, I've another poppy card to share for the CAS Watercolour April challenge.... after my first browse through my stamps I found five or six images but today I'm looking again and it seems I really do like poppies... another six or seven, so the tricky part is selecting just three...
I going with this one showing how the outline looks when Distress Oxide ink is used - gives a nice soft finish and quite different to Distress Inks. I used Pumice Stone DO on the stamp which includes the background and then colored with DO and added more definition with pencils. I tried to choose a grey card stock that would work with the card colours as a frame and then stamped a mini sentiment strip and attached with foam tape. Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it, have a great week
Your card is lovely. Did you stamp various stamps on background and then added the poppy or is this one stamp?
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, Robyn! I really need to try to paint with the DOX inks.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh ... you have a LOT of poppy stamps, Robyn! :) Awesome! Love this one with the text in the background. Your poppy is gorgeous with the beautiful shading to create lots of depth. I have been working with gray Archival in for my outline images before watercolour and find it really works well. xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful poppy with the text behind it! Great to see the Oxide inks used to watercolour! Thanks for making another card for CAS Watercolour.
ReplyDeletehow pretty, love the delicate looking bkg with the pop of colour over it.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for playing along with the CAS Watercolour Challenge.
