CAS Stencil October challenge

with Loll hosting this months technique

Don't we all have a stash of Patterned Paper - I have way tooooo much so thinking about using some on my cards with a stencil was a great idea.... but ...  the hardest thing was to choose one.
In the end I went with this soft pink script piece and used a diamond stencil and texture paste - then while I was sponging the edge I replaced the stencil and lightly added some colour to the diamonds.
I stamped my image and embossed with Pearl White EP and used DI Victorian Velvet to watercolour the flower spray, then fussy cut it out. I mounted the panel on a stitched die cut white cared and to finish stamped the sentiment and embossed with Pearl White, then sponged the DI VV to bring out the white sentiment.

There is lots of inspiration from the DT girls and our GD Gundi, so please pop over to the CAS Stencil blog and check them out... hope you find time to join in and share your CAS card with us.
Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it --  Happy card making.

  4. Fabulous background Robyn. Adding the diamond paste stenciling over top gives wonderful texture. Great idea to add a bit of pink shading once the paste was dry, which makes the diamonds stand out more. Love the soft colour and your beautiful flower spray. xx

  13. Wow Robyn this IS beautiful. Love the soft DP background for your gorgeous flower spray. Lovely layout. I'm off to play with this one. We DO have too much DP that doesn't get used enough LOL. PS On a closer look - fabulous textured card base.
