Merry Christmas

This month I am happy to be the Guest Elf Designer at Christmas Kickstart challenge #31 Wreathed in Christmas Smiles              .... I love to make my cards for Christmas throughout the year so I'm not 'snowed under' in November.....  a big thank you to Jo for inviting me to share my wreath cards, I'm very honoured.

I have made two cards using the same elements from a freebie magazine set....

For my first card I used the wreath embossing folder on green card and then lightly sanded the raised surface to reveal the wreath more.  I die cut the robin from brown, red and black card and assembled the pieces, giving the brown a bit of highlight with brown Distress ink.  Next I die cut the sentiment and foliage from light green glitter card and also the holly from green metallic card.  I arranged all the elements on the front panel with foam tape and added some maroon pearls for the berries and adhered this to a light green card.

For my second card I embossed the wreath on a white card panel.  Then using Twinkling H2Os - I smooched and painted some white card in shades of green, then die cut the pieces... also some berries..adding some white highlights with a gel pen.  I stamped and gold embossed the sentiment before attaching all the pieces and a then the panel on a white card.  To finish I added some clear Nuvo crystal drops.

Hope you are inspired to join in the challenge at Christmas Kickstart - pop over to their blog and check out the wonderful cards
