Peace on Earth

This is my last month with the CAS Watercolour team and I would love to thank Loll, Bonnie and the design team for a wonderful time, lots of inspiration and above all the far reaching friendships I've made with people I've never met but feel encouraged and thankful for being able to share my beloved card making craft with such talented ladies.... thank you, thank you, thank you.
Now onto this months ..
CAS Watercolour challenge
...... hosted by DT  Jenny,  "NIGHT SKY"

Firstly I cut a sloping mask from a post-it note and attached that to the bottom of my white card panel. I used a blending brush to add light blue (bottom centre) and dark blue Distress Oxide to make the night sky...when it was dry I lightly spritzed with water and it helped blend the inks and add lots of texture to the sky.  Replaced the mask and used black ink to stamp my tree silhouettes to one side and then used a black marker to stretch the branches onto the snow bank, and then added some shadows with Distress ink.  Next I decided to try and add a rising moon to the horizon... used a wet brush with yellow Magical Micas to paint this just behind the tree and added some to the lower side of the branches like a reflection....looks better in real life than the photos.
To finish the card I used a stitched rectangle die to emboss a frame on a white panel and then stamped and gold embossed the sentiment on the bottom.... I attached the picture panel with foam sheet.

Hope you are inspired to pop on over to the CAS Watercolour blog and join in this month... check out the fabulous cards from the team and our guest artist Tina.
Thanks for stopping by my blog  ----   Have a HAPPY DAY  and   Stay Safe
