Two "Merry" Embossed cards

Having some fun today with embossing folders and have two cards using the same EF - from  Couture Creations: Message in a Tree

This yellow one is created by adding Distress Oxide - wild honey,  to the flat side of the folder and using white card... so the ink creates a background. Simply trimmed to fit a white card to finish

For the blue card I smooched the Versamark pad over the raised areas on the EF - ran it through the Cuttlebug and then added gold embossing powder and heat set  ( not a good photo) ... as you can see I wasn't careful enough with the ink and got it all around the edges - But I do like the effect.  Then blended mermaid lagoon Distress Oxide ink lightly over the embossing and using a baby wipe lightly buffed the gold areas.  Trimmed and attached to a white card

  1. Love them both, but the gold and turquoise one is so eye catching! Thanks for joining us at Just Us Girls for Word Week!

  2. A fairly quick and easy way to make a card with great results, Robyn. The blue and gold one is so elegant. Thanks for sharing your cards with us at Just Us Girls.

  3. Love the gold embossed card Robyn - the 'messy' edges are fabulous. The yellow card is also eye catching
    Stay safe

  4. Two awesome and very different cards using the same embossing folder! I love how you took advantage of the ink bleed on the second. That gold is so elegant!

Thank you for taking the time to comment, all encouragement and inspiration is very welcome. May your day be a happy and extra special one, cheers Robyn
