Also found some mojo to make this Emboss Resist card for the August CAS Mix Up challenge....

  • Stamped and gold embossed the image from Chocolate Baroque - Fantastic Florals, on white card
  • Blended Distress Inks.. Cracked Pitstachio, Wild Honey and Ripe Persimmon over the embossed image
  • Cut a white card to fit the panel to leave a white border
  • Stamped and white embossed sentiment on a black card strip (from same stamp set) and attached to the card with foam tape

I used stamping, heat embossing, blending/sponging mixed media elements

Merry Christmas

Sadly yesterday I put my mum on a plane to home -- we had a wonderful time together and she enjoyed a break from the winter cold.... we did lots of chatting, crochet, crosswords, watched tv serials she can't access and we even took her to a rugby game, where are home town Cowboys had a great win.  Family is so precious.
So today I've been able to enjoy the quiet and get to my desk and hopefully I'm not too late to join in the CAS Christmas August challenge - Pine

  • Used some die cuts to create a little candle scene...
  • Die cut pine sprigs from green card - Winter Wonderland Entwined Holly & Yuletide sentiment from Crafters Companion    and  Sizzix Winter Woodland
  • Die cut the candles from red and yellow card - Memory Box Three Candle Circle
  • Stamped and gold embossed sentiment Crafter Choice Christmas Dreams, on to a white card square panel
  • Arranged and attached all elements to the panel
  • Layered the panel onto a green border and attached to a red card

Thinking of You

I had some time today to finish off this card for

The Flower Challenge #71 - Circles

  • Stamped the flower with smokey grey Versafine (Altenew: Precious Peony) then watercoloured with Distress Inks adding some depth with coloured pencils and fussy cut it out
  • Die cut the ring with Spellbinders Nesting Circles from coral card... also a ring from foam sheet so it would sit up off the card
  • Stamped the sentiment (Simply Cards & Papercraft - Tranquil Tulips) with Versamark and silver embossed, then die cut with the circle dies
  • Embossed white card with magazine freebie EF and trimmed to fit a square pink card... attached all the elements using foam tape

Happy Birthday

Well once again it's mid month and I'm way behind sharing a few cards.... BUT...   I do have a good excuse, we've had a number of visitors venturing north away from the cold of winter but mostly my MUM is here at the moment... we've not seen each other for 4 years, and it has been absolutely wonderful to spend some precious time together (she's 91) and I can't believe she hopped on a plane by herself to come up here.  We both are crafty people so we've spent a bit of time crocheting....

  • Stamped the flower & leaves (Papermania; Build a Rose set) in smokey greay Versafine and water coloured with Distress Ink, then fussy cut them out
  • Die cut the hexagon from white card (Avery Elle: pierced hexagon)
  • Embossed the hexie with Darice EF - Flower Pod Background and blended Shabby Shutters DO over the raised areas
  • Stamped the sentiment (unknown) with black Versafine on white card strip
  • Folded matching burnt orange card and measured out a larger card shape around the embossed panel
  • Attached all the elements with foam dots

Thanks for stopping by my blog.... hope you're having a wonderful time too,   Cheers Robyn
