Cards using the 'Torn Edge' technique

Over at the Group of Seven Cardmakers this past month
they have been inspiring us with their Torn Edge technique cards.
So I've finally finished a few cards today,
now that we have power back and the house and I feel cool again.

With this first one I blended Distress Oxide inks over torn scrap paper and finished with some die cuts

My next two cards were created with torn coloured cardstock, teamed with some more die cuts

Thanks for stopping by my blog, have a Wonderful day

Two Bird Cards

Already the first month of 2024 is whooshing by, and sadly I've not spent much time at my desk.  Two cards today that I had started and happy to have completed and add to a couple of challenges. Glad that I've pushed my lazy bot to post these today because we have a cyclone forming of the Queensland coast heading straight at us - so we're getting ready for some fierce winds and lots of rain.

First card for the Triple B January challenge... inspired by this Mood Board.. not snowy but with pinks and blues.

Second card for the Stencil Fun challenge for January - Featuring Birds.
A stenciled leafy background for my die cut bird - using Distress Inks for both.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, have a Wonderful Day,  Cheers Robyn

This is my Briar Rose crocheted blanket (by Hooked on Sunshine), that my mum asked me to make for Chloe - her granddaughter (my niece) who is to be married in a February.

First cards for 2024...

 Happy New Year Everyone...

Can't believe my first blog post for the year is featuring Christmas Cards.. but these are a few of the last minute cards I put together for friends

I had fun with my gold and silver embossing powders and various foliage stamps to create the card background and then a silver embossed a large sentiment as the center piece.
I am joining in the challenge at Peace on Earth Christmas challenge #55 using the mood board for inspiration.

Here are a couple similar cards using the same background technique with the sentiment as the
main eye catcher

AND
my cards also fits nicely with a new card challenge out there, also hosted by Darlene and Diane

December Card Chain Challenge Reveal

Hello and Best of Wishes for the New Year... hope 2024 is Special for Everyone.

My December Card Chain Challenge Card went off to Jeanne in the USA.

For my Ornament card I used the diagonal bottom left to top right - Blue, Bauble, Buddy (friend), Bling, Burgandy
I stamped and heat embossed it with red EP and water coloured with Twinkling H2Os, then added some bling.  Used foam tape to attached to a lovely patterned paper background and finished with a stamped gold embossed sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by my blog... have a Wonderful 2024
Cheers Robyn
